A Forgoten Love

I was with my girls when I spotted him from across the room. He had medium black hair with red streaks, hazel eyes and a tattoo of a broken heart on fire. He was looking at band shirts across the room.

"Guys I'm gonna go check out the stuff over there." I pointed to where the guy was.

"Ya, Jen, you're just gonna check out the clothes." Christine and Cassie both snickered to themselves.

"Shut up," I say hitting them on there sholders. "I'll be back in a few."

"That's a big hunk of shit." Cassie looked at me and walked away.

"Whatever," I said while walking toward the hottie. "Hey there," I said inocently. "can you help me look for some thing.

"I don't work here," he said. That voice was so familliar but i couldn't put my finger on it. "But I know this store like the back of my had, what are you looking for?" He looked up at me and paused. His mouth dropped to the floor as he looked at me up and down. "Do I know you?"

"I don't know, but I don't think so."

"Wait, are you Jennifer?"

"Ya."

"Jennifer Way?"

"Ya, how do you-"

"It's me, Kevin Keen, fron 7th gade?" I looked at him closly.

"KEVIN!" I couldn't contain my self and gave him a great big hug. "It's been forever," I said as I released my grip on him.

"I know, what's it been, 9, 10 years?"

"Nine. you look good."

"Me? You look, wow." His eyes googled me up and down. "I mean really wow."

"Thanks," I said with a giggle.

"Your teeth." He pointed at my mouth.

"What, is there something in my teeth?" I started getting ready to shuffle through my purse for a mirror.

"No," he said laughing,  "they're straight." I zipped back up my purse and looked at him.

"I got braces sophomore year in high school. You would know that if talked to me at all that year."

"Didn't I hang out with you still?" He scrunched his face in hope of remembering.

"We hung out in the same group but never talked after our brutil break-up in freshman year."

"I remember that, you broke my arm."

"Sorry about that. If you didn't get in the way, it would have been Celsie's arm instead of yours."

"Well if you didn't just start beeting her up amd would've let me explain then maybe there would have been no violence." I feel myself getting on my toes to reach his height.

" Well if you weren't cheating then maybe I wouldn't have had to." I turn around and begin to pout.

"Well you never gave me a chance to explain!" He Tugs me back around and forces me to lood at him. I begin to laugh. "What's so funny?"

"Things never change between us." Keven looked confusingly at me and then began to laugh too.

"You're right, we haven't really changed."

"Exept for our looks, I mean you look way different than what I remember."

"You too!  You use to look way different!"

"Ya, well the last time i saw you, you still had the blonde highlights and that whole surfer look"

"The only thing that's changed about you is your hair it use to be darker, but you still dress the same."

"Thanks," I say unsure if that was a complement or not.

"You wanna go grab a coffee and catch up on old times?"

"Sure," I say with a slight smile, "I'd like that."
