When he got home, he threw his books on the couch and sat down in front of the tv, flipping through random channels, not really watching anything.
"Ant? is that you?" his mother called from the kitchen.
"Yeah, mom. i'm home."
"Somebody called for you. you left your phone home so i picked it up. i don't know who it is. some guy. he said to call back."
"Sure mom. thanks." he called Dan back.
"Hello?"
"Dan? it's Ant."
"Oh hey. how's it goin with u and Amy. you got her wrapped around your finger yet?"
"Naw, not yet. she's ticked off with me."
"Yo, if she's not all smitten wit you by the end of next week, you ain't gettin the 5 grand. you made a bet, you betta stick to it."
"Chill, man. i'll get her back. i'll find some way to get her to like me the way Jessica loved me. i kept that bet and won, and i'm not planning on losing this one."
"Aight. fine. end of next week, understood?"
"Yeah."
Dan hung up. Anthony sighed. he didn't know what to do. he had accidentally fallen in love with the one girl he was supposed to hurt. if it were any other girl, he would have been fine with the idea. any other girl, just not Amy. but his friends had chosen one of the prettiest and cutest girls on purpose. they chose her to see if he could get her to fall in love with him before he fell in love with her. he sighed again and went upstairs on his computer. Amy was online. quickly he double clicked on her name and sent her an instant message.
"Amy, u there?"
"Wut do u want?"
"2 apologize"
"4?"
"What i sed n did just now. it was uncalled 4. i'm srri."
"mebe next time think b4 u tlk."
"yes, i kno. i shud've known earlier. i'm srri."
"Fine. i 4giv u. 1 last chance, understood?"
"Yea."
"n don't take me 4 an idiot. i'm not stupid."
"Wut?"
"i'm juss warning u now...no matter wut Dan sez or makes u do, i'm not stupid."
"Wait, wut?!"
"u no wut i mean. it'd be sad if u didn't"
"How'd u find out?!"
"Like i sed, i'm not an idiot."
"Ok...i'll c u in skool."
"Sure. bye."
"Hang on."
"Wut now? another story of ur depression/misery?"
"No. i was gonna ask if u mite wanna go out sum time. u no, just me n u. alone. 2 spend sum time alone w/ each other."
"4 Dan?"
"No way. wut makes u think dat i'm gonna try 2 trik u wen i kno u kno d whole thing w/ Dan?"
"Hey, i kno 1 thing's 4sho. ur stupid enuf 2 try ne10."
"W/e. Monday after skool cool w/ u?"
"Yea, no probs. c ya in d park."
"Cool, bye."
Anthony shut the window and closed his eyes. amy knew. this was going to be harder than he'd thought. still, he had to try. he needed the money, even if it meant hurting the one girl he loved. it was worth a try. but he would have to be more careful than he had ever been before. now that amy was in on the secret, he would have to be very sneaky about what he did. he had to outsmart amy, if that was even possible. he had to be able to trick amy without giving her even the slightest of hints. the first place to start with would be a nice date, he guessed. he prepared a few things, thought of what he would say, and prepared for the date that could have Amy all over him. this was't going to be easy.
