Amy just stood there, surprised and angry. neither of them said anything for a while.

"Amy, i'm sorry, but my boys are everything to me. they help me out with my problems, they cheer me up when i'm down, they're like my second family. please, Amy, you have to understand. you forced the decision onto me, and i had to make the decision. it was the hardest thing ever, i swear. it was either the girl of my dreams or my second family."

"So what am i in your life? just some girl that exists in this world? some stupid, innocent, insecure little girl that needs a lot of protection. fine, Anthony, i'm cool with your decision. like you said, i was the one who made you decide. i'm just a little surprised about your decision after what you told me, how i treated you, how you said you loved me. i guess no one can escape those little lies in life, huh?"

"But Amy...you can't be mad at me for it. you were the one who made me decide!"

"Yeah, and you decided like an idiot!"

"What?! are you implying that i'm an idiot?!"

"No, i'm saying that it's a FACT that you're a complete idiot!" Amy and Anthony were both shouting, not caring about the fact that they were in a public place.

"Fine, if you think i'm such an idiot, why did you say yes when i asked you out? cuz you loved me! admit it, Amy! you loved me!"

"Yes i did. i never denied it. i loved you. past tense. present tense: i hate you. future tense: i will  hate you!"

"You cant' hate me! cuz when i get a better girl than you, you'll be so overcome with envy and jealousy that you'll come crawling back to me!"

"Oh, we'll see about that!" Amy hollered back. she turned around and went into the deli, leaving Anthony behind.

Anthony was still in shock. he was angry, angry as hell, but underneath all that anger, he was hurtin. hurting bad. he wanted Amy. he knew he would never have the heart to get another girl as long as he lived. he wanted Amy to be in his arms, to kiss and hold her, to see her laugh and walk and talk with him. he looked inside, where Amy was laughing and smiling with Julie and Julie's boyfriend.

"I'm happy if you're happy, Amy. so long as you're happy." Anthony sighed.
