suddenly Anthony's phone rang. Anthony looked at the phone and said,"Uh...excuse me, Amy, but i'm gonna step out for a minute. i have to answer this call privately. it's from my boys."

Amy just smiled and nodded. "No problem. take your time. i'll be finishing up this project anyway."

"All right then. i'll be right back." he left the room to answer his call. when he came back, he put his phone on Amy's dresser and went to the bathroom. "By the way, Amy. if i get a phone call or a text message, could you get it for me? you know, if i'm not in the room?"

"Sure, no problem." Amy replied. she went back to working on the project. then his phone started to vibrate. by the time Amy got to it, it was playing a really bad song. "Nice ring tone." she said quietly, to herself. she opened it and read the words, "NEW TEXT MESSAGE!" on the front. she hit 'view' and read it.

"Heya darlin. just wonderin ware u r. i'm gettin kinda lonely n maybe u cud give me sum company. i'm at our usual meeting spot now. u betta not be hangin w/ that amy grl. cuz that's wut i consider cheatin on me. wen u get this, come meet me. i'll b waitin 4 u darlin. luv, Chelsey."

Amy just stared at the message, totally shocked. she read it over and over again, trying to detect some possibility of misunderstanding. but it was completely hopeless. Anthony was lying to her yet again and now he was cheating on her. This Chelsey girl was Anthony's girlfriend. she knew that she would never again forgive Anthony for this.

"That son of a bitch." Amy murmurred. then the door swung open, and Anthony stood in the doorway, his face filled with panic. "Let me see that message." he almost hissed, reaching for the phone.

Amy let it out of her grasp before saying quietly. "I already read it. we're over permanently, Anthony. you don't have to lie to me any more. i don't think you've ever lied to chelsey, so maybe she's more worth your time than i am."

Anthony was speechless. he didn't know what to do now. the room was filled with a terrible silence and Anthony and Amy stared at each other, one pleading for forgiveness, the other with anger in her eyes.

"Please Forgive me." Anthony said, his voice choked with tears.
