A Good Nightmare

The sensation I had felt before went through my body again. My hands reached out to her, but my mind screamed no. It was like a small war was taking place in me. It was my mind against my body.My thirst seemed to grow hotter and my throaght felt like it was on fire.

Malicious was slowly walking around me and the girl, laughing at my pain and fustration. David was tensed of as if ready for a fight. And Higerth calm and relaxed as he watched me struggle. He even seemed kind of happy.

What is wrong with me?! My mind yelled silently to the men standing before me. What have you done to me?

I sank to my knees and hit the ground if fustration. I now noticed that there was a diffrence in how this wierd feeling my body was diffrent from the first time, my hearing and streghth were better then before and everthing around me was still going at the right speed.

Malicious looked as his leader and Higerth nodded. Malicious put his hand on the girls back and made her lay down rigt infront of me, so close to me that I could feel her breath. I could hear the fast paced beat of her heart and the quickened speed of breath. Her face was a mask of terror and tears were streaming out of her eyes.

That way that little girl looked hurt me deeply, and made the wierd feeling in my body go away.

I reached out and pulled the girl to me.

"NO!" David yelled.

Higerth turned and smiled at David and said in a I'm-supieror-then you-voice, "whtat did I tell you? Only my newborns can survive through the test." But his big, huge smile of his fadded away when he turned back around to see me conforting the small child.

Malicious's face reddened with anger. He grabbed my head and stuck my mouth at her throught. "Bite," he comanded.

"No," I whispered.

"Bite her."

"No,"I said more strongly

"BITE HER!" he screamed at me.

"No!" I yelled back.

The speed sensation mingled with the one I had felt before came back. I put my hand around his throught, threw him in the air, set the little girl down, and kicked him like a he was a soccerball. He went just as far too.

Suddenly, my own feet were off the ground and it felt as if someone had thrown me. I twisted in mid air to see Malicious standing where I had.

I landed on my feet but I still skidded a couple of feet across the ground. I ran as fast I good and rammed into his stomach and we hit the ground. He rolled on top of me and put reared back his arm to punch me, but I got my legs under him and sent him flying through the air once again.

"Stop!," yelled Higerth hold me and his friend apart with his hands. I let the feelings go and stood up straight with my head high so I could imply the best that I could that I would continue to fight if he weren't here to stop us.Malicious turned hi back to me.

"Is the test done yet?" I asked as politly as I could, but still came out in a growl.

"Yes," a women replied behind me. I turned around see the people who were in the stadium stands when I fist came in. It now seemed like an enternity ago, but I knew it has been only thirty minets at the most.

The woman who had spoken was in the front of the group. From the she stood and acted, you could tell she was the leader of everyone, even Higerth. She was very old, the oldest of the group it looked like from where I stood. Her eyes were the only thing that showed she was more than an old women. Her hair was dark like mine. But thats all I could describe of her even if I wanted to tell more. There was no way to tell or explain how beautiful she was even through her wrincles made cracks through it.

"David," she said in almost a whispery velvet voice, "leave and take her with you. I must speak to Higerth and Malicious alone."

"Yes, my mistress," he said with a low bow.

I tensed up as David softly grabbed my arm.

The old women saw me flinch. "Don't worry my young one." She gently patted my arm. "David won't harm you."

I felt reassured by her words, but it wasn't David I was worried about. "What about the girl?"

She looked at the girl as if she had forgtten she was there. "I'll deal with her later. Now, leave."

Then she and everyone with walked pass and took Higerth, Malicious, and the little girl with them.
