            Annie gasped. Did I just hear someone knock at the front door? She lifted her head to listen if there was another knock. None came. Of course there’ll be no knock, stupid! Your parents left you here, remember? They won’t be back for another month! –the jerks!-. She began sobbing again as the CD changed and salsa music came on.

            He tried the doorknob. It was unlocked, so he carefully turned it. The door made a faint creaking sound. He tried not to open it too much and slipped in, shutting it again.

            Looking around, Brandon found lots of shoes piled up behind and around the door. Assuming that shoes were not allowed in the house, he slipped off his converse’s and walked towards the hallway.

            “Where would she be?” He asked himself quietly, glancing left then right. He heard music coming from the right, and saw light from a room farther down the hallway. He walked quietly down the hall to the door, which was partially cracked open, and peered in.

            On the floor, by the bed, he saw Annie. She was crying and the music was playing on in Spanish. Brandon pushed open the door more, carefully squeezed through her bead curtain, and walked right to Annie.

            When Brandon knelt down and touched Annie’s arm, she jumped with a scream and flailed back before realizing who it was.

            “Oh my God! Brandon!” Annie took a deep breath and felt stupid. “How… why… what…” She couldn’t find the words to say. “Why are you here? How’d you get here?”

            “Well… I called Jane and asked your house address. I got the feeling that I should come here.” Brandon smiled slightly and moved his black, blond, and red hair from his eyes. “So… here I am!”

            Annie couldn’t help but smile a little. Brandon was always simple and right to the point. Not too into making things very emotional, even though he often looked emo.

            “So… what’s going on then?” Brandon asked as Annie scooched back towards him. “Obviously my feelings were right.”

            Annie gave a half smile and sighed. “You wouldn’t understand.” She replied, looking out the window at the rain that had just started coming down.

            “Of course I would!” Brandon exclaimed, placing a hand on Annie’s knee, causing Annie to look back at him in astonishment.

            “Well…” Annie couldn’t really figure out how to tell him without sounding stupid. “I don’t know how to put it without sounding stupid…”

            “You won’t sound stupid.” Brandon said with a smile that made Annie’s heart melt.

Brandon noticed Annie’s reaction to what he said and his brain screamed at him. You moron! Why do you think you’re here? Cos you like Annie! Did you see the way she just reacted? She likes you too! Brandon didn’t know what to say. Obviously Annie was at a loss for words, so rather, he acted.

He leaned forward, and kissed Annie on the lips.

            Annie was shocked, unsure, and surprised. Kiss him back, moron! Her brain yelled at her. She kissed him back, and completely forgot everything she had conjured up to say to him.

            Brandon felt like it was so right for him to be here, and for this to be happening. It had, of course, been like two years since they first met. Why should he wait longer?

            Inwardly smiling, Brandon wrapped his arms around Annie’s waist and kissed her more passionately.

            When Brandon wrapped his around a round her waist, Annie felt a pang deep within. You’ve been waiting for your first kiss for so long, that there’s no way you’d resist the total hottie who apparently just showed up for no reason whatsoever! Her Brain told her. She sighed and wrapped her arms around Brandon’s neck and kissed him back, completely falling into the moment.

            Once they pulled apart, it took Annie a moment to realize that Brandon had not yet relinquished his grip around her waist, nor, for the fact, had she moved her arms. They just sat there, staring at each other.

            His eyes are so beautiful! It makes me want him even more just sitting here now! This close to him! She smiled and hugged him, laying her head on his shoulder.

            Just do it already, will you? His brain complained. Fine, fine I will! He complained right back at it, not even stopping to think that it may be a little not normal for him to be arguing with his thoughts.

            He gently took Annie by the shoulders and leaned back. When she looked at him with questions in her eyes, he finally spoke again.
