Ex-Girlfriend Problems [pt.6 final part]

Drama Created on 2-11-08 Views(73) Story Rating G

I held back a laugh. She has got to be joking! She’s playing sweet, innocent church girl to the pastor.

“So, this is the real Sylvia?” Jackie asked.

“When she’s broken about a break up, yes.” Pastor replied.

            Sylviababe101: Well, isn’t it?

            Pstrtrry: no, it’s not Sylvia...

            Sylviababe101: *Rolls eyes*

Sylviababe101: Your on his side aren’t you?

Pastor hesitated at this. I held my breath, not knowing what he was going to reply.

Pstrtrry: No, I’m on no one’s side Sylvia.

            Slyviababe101: Then believe me....

Pstrtrry: Sylvia... you must see the wrong to your actions

Sylviababe101: How am I wrong to grieve over the loss of one I loved?

Pstrtrry: The way you grieved wasn’t right Sylvia.

Pstrtrry: You came back with rope, duct tape and a knife.

Pstrtrry: You should’ve thought about what you were going to do

            Sylviababe101: I did think.

Sylviababe101:I thought that I was going to tie him up,

Sylviababe101: and make him eat his precious snake piece by piece!

Pstrtrry: Sylvia, I’m afraid that your motives are wrong.

Sylviababe101: No they’re not, they’re perfect for me!

Pstrtrry: No, Sylvia, I’m afraid that this has gotten out of hand

Sylviababe101: What are you going to do?

Pstrtrry: Sylvia, a higher authority is needed in this situation now.

            Slyviababe101: but...

Pstrtrry: no buts, you’ve threatened another’s life... this is too serious.

Pstrtrry signed off at 12:58 am

“What is going to happen now?” I asked as Pastor picked up his phone.

“Authority must be called in. She is dangerous and needs to be restrained, or at least held so she can’t go after anyone until she’s calmed down.”

            “So your calling the cops?”

“No, I’m calling the mental institute.” Pastor dialed and talked to the operator for the mental institute number.

“Thank you.” He said after a little bit and hung up the phone.

Jackie and I were sitting in the kitchen chatting about the songs that were to be sung that coming Sunday at church. We stopped as Pastor hung up and walked in.

            “Well?” Jackie asked.

“They said that they are sending out a van to pick her up.” Pastor sat down and sighed. “What a night!”

“You said it!” I couldn’t even smile now. I couldn’t stop thinking about what just happened. “I’m sorry I pulled you two into this.”

“Oh, no. Don’t be. You were right to come to us.” Jackie smiled.

“Right, we were able to help you out.” Pastor smiled too. “And hey! You got cookies!”

We all laughed. Pastor was always funny. Well, for the most of the time he was.

“Well, since that has been cleared up and she’s now going to be in protective custody... wanna go get some fresh air?” Pastor asked me.

I looked up, smiled and nodded.

“Okay, let’s go.” Pastor stood up and headed to the sliding door.

“I’ll clean up and be out in a few boys.” Jackie said as she gathered glasses.

“Okay, we’ll wait.” I answered and then followed pastor out onto the back porch.

Pastor closed the door behind us and led me into the grass. I waited for his cue before doing anything.

            “Ready?” He asked.

“I thought we were waiting for Jackie?”

“I’m right here.” Jackie said behind me.

I turned and was almost face to face with her. “Oh, hi!” I almost blushed, but held it back. “I didn’t see you come out.”

“Okay, are you ready then?” Pastor asked as he stretched his wings.

Oh, did I forget to tell you? Pastor and Jackie both have Dragon wings as well. They are dragon-humans like me. Almost half of the people in the city of Midland are Dragon-humans. Some of those who aren’t call us mongrels, it doesn’t bother us anymore, but it’s sometimes fun for us to see them seething in jealousy that they don’t have wings like us.

“I’m ready.” I said, spreading my wings.

“Same here.” Jackie chimed in, stretching her wings.

“Okay, Jackie, you locked the house, right?”

            “As always.”

“Good, lets go to Meijers and look around since they’re always open.” Pastor suggested.

            “Sounds good!” I smiled.

With that, the three of us lifted off the ground into the sky. We flew in a few small circles to find which direction to head and then were off to Meijers.

  End.
