It was a quiet ride to Carlos's house. He didn't say anything nor did Laci. Carlos pulled up in front of his apartment. He looked over at Laci who was wiping away the remainder of her tears. He placed a hand on her knee. "Are you sure you want to come in", asks Carlos? "You don't want me here", asks Laci. "I didn't say that", says Carlos. "I just feel worse now", says Laci. "Why" asks Carlos? "Because you wanna be with me and I'm pushing you away", explains Laci. "I'm gonna be okay, I will always love you Laci", says Carlos. Carlos moves in and kisses Laci on the cheek. She smiles showing her pure white teeth. "Carlos...", says Laci as she tries to speak, but her words won't come out right. "What, what is it Laci", asks Carlos? "I love you too, and I want to be with you forever", says Laci as her eyes start to water again. "What about what you said earlier", asks Carlos? "I was still a little upset, I never want to loose you Carlos", says Laci. "I don't wanna loose you either", says Carlos. Then he kisses her on the lips. She kisses him back. They stop kissing and look into eachothers eyes. "You're so beautiful", says Carlos. "Thank you", says Laci. He smiles and then he lays his head on her lap. She rubs his head. She starts to think back at what she just said. DO I REALLY LOVE CARLOS? As she hears Carlos snoring, she starts to wonder where they're relationship will go after this. She feels as if she loves Carlos, but is she sure. Then her thoughts were interrupted by her cell phone ringing. Carlos sits up and looks at Laci as she answers her phone.

Laci: Hello?

Dr. Morgan: Hi is this Laci, Valerie's daughter

Laci: Yes....and who is this?

Dr. Morgan: I'm Doctor Morgan, your mother is in the hospital

Laci: What, what happened?

Dr. Morgan: I'l explain everything later. Just get here now.

Laci: I wanna know now!

Dr. Morgan: I'll explain later. *CLICK*

Laci was about to say something else, but the loud sound of Dr. Morgan hanging up the phone stopped her. Carlos looks at Laci with a look or confusion. "You have to drive me to the hospital now", says Laci. "What's going on" asks Carlos? "I really don't know but get me there", says Laci as she buckles up. "Okay", says Carlos. Laci starts calling her mother cell phone, but she doesn't get an answer. Carlos cranks back up his truck. And speeds out of the apartment parking lot.
