Tollin let us stay the night at his house, however I was still amazed by the fact that Tollin was so shrimpy as a young child, but now he was so tall and musculer!  But you could see that tension was riasing between Tristian and Tollin.

       "So Tollin, how old are you now?" I ask him quietly while everyone else is asleep.

       "15... How 'bout you?" He asks

        I respond with a simple "14" and nod at him as he tells me about what has happened to him, his dad, and the entire town sice I left.  He then looks at me, ever so sincere and asks,

        "So is that kid ove' there your boyfriend?"

        I quickly respond to him, "no of course not," and not knowing what I had just down Tollin scoots closer next to me and puts his warm hand on my leg.  I smile at him as he speaks.

       "You know I've always had somewhat of a crush on you... Even though you used to pick on me."

       I then say, without knowing something very important, "I've never forgotton you!  I actually thought at one piont that I well... um, loved," and before I could finish, Tristian sprang up to his feet.

       "So what was that?  In the cave?  I thought that I actually meant something to you!  You just ruined whatever we had!  You know why?  Because I thought you were gonna be my girl!  I love you!" 

       Tollin and I then try to calm him down, but there was no use... Tristian then stormed out of the house, waking Matt, Frankie, and Riley.  I rush after him, not even saying a single word to Tollin. 

       "Tristian, what do you think your doing?  In the cave, well I thought that I loved you, but now that Tollin has agreed to come with us to the next town... Crystal Valley.  And Since Tollin is gonna be in my life, well I don't know what to think or do or say."

      "Well here," he says, "chose right here, right now, who do you love more?  Me, your best friend that stuck with you?  Or him, some big-town player?  Pick now!"

      I stare blankly into his eyes as I refuse to answer...

     "Okay, that look says it all...  I know where I stand with you, Madelyn.  I'm going home..." Tristian says

     "No!  Wait," I yell to him as he dissappears into the forset...
