Once it was a little girl's birthday and she wanted another doll for her collection.

Her mother went out shopping and stopped in a thrift shop to get her daughter a doll.

She picked out a doll and went to the counter to pay for it. Then the merchant sighed and said, "This last owner of this doll was killed because it was left at the bottom of the stairs at night. You can have it if you want, but you have to make sure not to leave it at the bottom of the stairs at night." Annoyed, the mother paid and left the store.

After the 4 year old's birthday, she played with her new doll until she had to go to bed. Sleepily, she dropped the doll at the bottom of the stairs and went on to bed.

When she was tucked in and asleep, she heard a small voice calling out, "I'm on the 10th step, I'm on the 9th step, I'm on the 8th step."

The little girl was scared so she yelled "MOMMM!" Her mother climbed out of bed, walked down the hall and climbed up the stairs. She didn't see the doll until the 3rd step up, but she was too tired to care.

When the little girl told her mother what she heard, the mother said she was probably dreaming and to go back asleep. Then the mother left.

When the girl went to sleep again, she heard the little voice again. "I'm on the 7th step, I'm ln the 6th step, I'm on the 5th step, I'm on the 4th step." She called her mother again and her mother came up. While she was trudging up the steps she passed the doll on the 6th step and she stopped to look at it, then went on.

The mother listened to her child's story and told her if she called her up again she was going to ground her. The child was scared and kinda mad at her mother but she said "yes mother" anyway.

The child went to sleep yet again and as soon as her mother entered her room, the voice started again. "I'm on the 3rd step, I'm on the 2nd step, I'm at your bedroom door."

She then heard the door open and something slip inside. Then a rustling from her desk came and the voice said, "Do you like games?"

The little girl answered yes.

Then the voice said, "Lets play hide-and-seek"

The little girl said, "Ok!"

The figure climbed up on her bed and said, "I see you!"

Then the little girl screamed, and all was silent.

The mother came up to her daughter's room to wake her up and she didn't see her. Instead, on her bed was the doll...with a drop of blood on her blouse.
