              John stared after Valerie as she walked away with David at her side. That could have been me, David thought, Valerie could be with me, safe and alive, but I was stupid. Silent tears fell down his marble stone jaw. He hung his head, and fell asleep.

                  John awoke to something burning his leg. When he looked down, he saw his jeans had a hole in them, and his leg was turning red. He looked up, "Ah, Shit!!" Sunlight was coming through a crack in the ceiling. John tried to scoot the chair away, but the legs were nailed to the ground. "Shit, shit" John began to panic. "Valerie" he yelled, "VAL!" Slowly the crack in the ceiling grew bigger.

              John began to scream in pain as flames began to engulf his leg. "No, help, Valerie, I love you!" The room lit up with light, and then grew dim.
