We walked towards the house as we passed by toys and a kid’s pool in the front. We stood by the front door for a while till I rang the doorbell. I was about to give up when my little brother, Jacob opened the door. He smiled at us crookedly and gave me a hug. It’s been 2 years since I’ve seen them and he grew a lot.  He led us to the living room where my dad was sitting in a wheelchair.  He had injured his back in a car accident a year ago. He looked at me with tears of joy. I went up to him and kissed his cheeked. With this he replies in a low raspy voice.

“I knew you would come. Where’s Nicole?”

Nicole was the oldest of my dad. “She already has the chip. She couldn’t come.”

“She’s just like your mother; stubborn as hell. And who is this fellow?” he looks at Mike with a stern expression

“This is my friend Michael. He’s here to help us.”

“Well then… let’s get started.”

We walk down the hall towards the basement. But I stopped next to another room. My dad looks at me and says, “Don’t wake her up. She’s been sick for a while.”

“You know how heavy a sleeper she is.” I walk in to find my little sister, Susan asleep in her little bed. I stand next to her bed and stroke her face. She opens her eyes quickly and stares with a smile. Without hesitation she jumps out of bed and squeezes me lightly. I kiss her forehead and put her back on the bed.

“Finally you come. Now can we have that picnic you promised?”

“Maybe another time, Susan. You need to get better first.”

She was about to say something when she looked towards the door. She looks at me with a grin and says, “Is that your boyfriend? He’s pretty.”

“Go to sleep.” I said through my teeth. I couldn’t tell her we weren’t dating any more otherwise she would have a fit.

She crawled under the covers and shut her eyes tightly. I closed her door and we went to the basement and found a table full of scattered papers.

“These are the blue prints of the white house in Washington, D.C. I’ve done research and found there is a secret room under the building.” He points to a blank spot on the papers where there is no structure drawn on it. I look at my father with confusion spread on my face. “They didn’t draw it in the blue prints because it would cause suspicion.”

“So what does the room have to do with the chips?” I kept thinking to myself, it might be where they hold the chips, or make.

“It’s where they store all the main supplies to make the chips.”  I was close.

“So how are we supposed to get in?” Mike asked finally coming into the conversation.

“There’s a secret entrance towards the back of the building. There will be a door that leads to the room.”

“And, we burn all the supplies, unless we do something else.” Mike added in.

“As a matter of fact, you do burn it. That way no more chips can be made.”

“But, how do we shut down the chips in everyone who got them?” I asked with discontent.

“That’s where I come in” he reaches under the table and sets down a huge Metal Suitcase.  Slowly he opens the suitcase to reveal a detonator of some sort. It was filled with wires going in and out of it. “Once you’re in that room there will be a main switch that keeps the chips turned on.  There will be a plug on the side. Plug this in and push the button. That’s it.

                That’s it?” Mike questioned

“Well, its not going to be easy if that’s what you think.” My father looks him in the eyes and continues. “There will be security guards surrounding the room. And one of us is going to be the distraction to get in.” he once again looks at Mike.

“I’m guessing that makes me the victim right? How come I have to do it?” Mike whines

“One, I’m in a wheel chair so that’s out of the question, and two, my daughter knows enough about technology to get in and get out with out getting caught.

“Okay, you’ve made your point.” I said rudely just to end the conversation. “So when do we leave.” I asked my father.

                “Tonight.”
