They Call Me Vengeance {Seven}

"I'm pregnant!" I cried. "How did this happen"
"Well, it was probably when-" Richard started to say, the amused look on his face made this whole thing worse.
"I know how it happened. I want to know..."I broke off. "I don't know."
"Darlin' how about you be happy, there is nothing we can do about it." He smiled and leaned down to kiss my head.
"I know, I should be." I burried my face in my pillow. I felt his hands on my back. That was the last thing I remember before falling asleep.

"Feel better?" Richard's voice rolled from behind his work table. I opened my eyes and saw the bright morning sun streaming into the tower window.
"I guess. Though I do feel really sick." I groaned. How far was I?
"Okay, well let me look at you. I am going to have to have a cleric in to see you as well." He was suddenly at the bedside. I felt his energy dance around my body. "Hmmmm..."
"What?" I sat up in a panic.
"Nothing." He smiled. "Nothing at all." Chuckling he went back to his work.
I worked at brushing the tangles of red hair out, halfway through there was a knock on the door.
"Enter." Richard said absentmindedly.
"Richard, my boy. How are you this beautiful morning?" The king entered. He was a portly man, taller than I had thought. I had only seen him once before. There was a twinkle in his boyish blue eyes, it went well with his smile.
"King Rodrick." Richard bowed.
"Gah," Rodrick waved a hand. "Enough formalities. I have come to see the girl."
"Katherine," Richard gestured my way. I bowed so low I probably could have touched the ground with my head.
"I don't know it that's a wise idea with that child inside of you." He chuckled, I felt his hand on my arm. He helped me straighten up.
"So, how are you feeling, child?" The King asked me leading me to a chair.
"Um, I feel a little sick." I tried to smile.
"As to be expected. When are we going to do this wedding?" He looked to Richard. "It should be soon."
"It doesn't matter, married or not we're still having this child." Richard said moving forward to us.
"Yes, but you are my second. It would just be bad form." He looked to me. "I mean, I just sent her up here for you to have the company of a woman. I never expected this to happen."
"You shouldn't have sent someone up who was so captivating." Richard's eyes sparkled like clear water on a sunny day.
