Carolina Rain *3*

I walked up stairs with Max following. I went up to the bedroom, which was beautiful. I went over to the bed and laid down on it. It was so warm.

"You like it?"

"Like it? I love it!" 

I looked out the window. It was raining out. Along with all the snow, ice would be around. Max turned around to go to his room.

"Max wait!"

"What is it now."

He turned around and I kissed him right on the lips. My hands on his face; his on my waist. I felt like I was in heaven. He pulled me away and looked at me.

"Wow. That was unexpecting."

"I wanted to say good night." I smiled.

He started kissing me again. This time, he stuck his tounge in my mouth. We were kissing for the longest time, until we heard thunder. I gasped, as I looked out the window.

"I'll sleep with you tonight." Max said.

"You don't have to do that."

"It's fine. The bed is big enough for the two of us" Yes!

"Ok."

Max guided me over to the bed. We both slid under the covers. Max wrapped his musculer arms around me. I turned facing him and hugged him. I put my right hand behind his head and the other on his shoulder, as I held him close. I kissed him one last time before I closed my eyes and went fast asleep.

When I woke up, I found Max sleeping on a chair. I didn't know why he was though.

"Max?"

"What?"

"Why are you on the chair? You were in the bed with me last night."

"I know but I figured I'd give you your space. You just looked so peaceful on the bed. I just couldn't take my eye off of you last night for some reason."

"Really?" I started blushing. "You know, I never slept with you in bed or kissed you for a long time. I really think that..." I stopped and I looked up at him, looking back at me.

"Think what? You've fallin in love?"

I froze. I hit the nail on the head on that one.

"Yeah. I'm not sure why; I mean, we've been friends for quite some time now and I think we have really grown close. I know that I'm only 15 and your 19, but there's something about you that just makes me feel good."

Max got up out of his chair and walked back into bed with me.

"Is this it?" He kissed me with one hand on my face. I pulled him away and said. "Definatly." He made me lay down on the bed and started kissing my neck. I felt tense. I placed my hands on his chest and kissed him back. Max used his left hand to hold him up and the other to rub his warm hands againest my cool cheek. I smiled. He came back for more, but I pushed him away.

"Max"

"Yeah"

"I have to tell you something."

"Go right ahead."

"I've never been in love like this."

"Really? Neither have I."

I felt a teardrop roll down my cheek. Max wiped it away with the back of his finger. I let out a little chuckle. I heard the phone ring. I looked right at Max.

"You better get that."

"Alright I'll be back."

I sat in the bed as Max grabbed the phone. He looked back at me and we smiled at each other. He was talking for a little while, but I didn't bother to listen in.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe that I was kissing Max, my best friend. I can't figure out why I feel this way. I've fallin in love. I'm in love with my best friend!
