Kaeli woke up choking on salt water.She gasped for air and scrambled to her feet.Apparently she had washed up on the shore of some island.She just stood there,taking in her surroundings.It would have been a paradise,if it wasn't for the fact that she was stranded in the middle of no where.Kaeli was still wiped from when the wave crashed against her,and she fell on the sandy white beach.She groaned a bit,then got back to her feet.She had no idea what to do.She just felt like crying,but she knew it wouldn't better her situation.So she just started thinking for a moment.Then she finally remembered there could be a slight chance someone,anyone,could be on the island with her.She immediately jumped up and began running down the beach,just trying to find someone so she knew she wasn't alone.She kept running forever it seemed,until she felt her heart would explode.She collapsed on the beach,looking out at the sky.It was getting dark.Now she didn't really have any idea what to do.She just laid there,still breathing hard.She lifted her head up to look ahead,and thought she saw someone...or something.She didn't care what it was as long as it was living.She got up and started running as fast as her legs would take her.As she got closer,she saw it was Chris,knocked out on the beach.
"CHRIS!!!!"She screamed at the top of her lungs.
He didn't move.She stumbled a bit,then tripped and fell by his side.
"Chris?Chris please get up..please.."She pleaded
She shoved him,pressed on his chest,whatever she thought would work.He finally started coughing up water.
"Chris!"She said relieved.
"Uugh...Kaeli?"He said exhausted.
She just looked at him and hugged him tight.
"God,I thought I was alone."She breathed heavily.
"Come on,if we're both here,don't you think there'd be others?"He questioned.
"Yeah,come on lets go look."She helped him up,and they began walking down the beach.
They walked up and down the beach for quite a while.It was getting too dark to see.They were about to give up searching.Eventually they both started getting hungry,but they still tried looking.Finally,they sat down on the beach.They had no idea where they were sleeping,because high tide was coming in.The two of them sat on the ground and stared at the sea clawing at them.But Kaeli thought she heard something in the distance.She quickly stood up,and tried to see through the darkness.But then she heard something again.
"Kaeli!!!"
It was Amelia.Kaeli pulled Chris and started running towards her.She was with Noah.The two girls ran each other over when they tried hugging (but its not like they cared anyways..).
Noah saw Chris coming,and ran over to him.
"Man where have you been?I've been stuck with this drama queen ALL day.Its torture!!!Oh my god where are we?I wanna go home!!UUGH!"Noah whined.
Chris laughed a bit then said,"You know how lucky we all are to be on the same island?Or alive for that matter?"
The girls didn't hear the boys talking,because they were too busy having a BFFLAD (best friend for life and death) moment.Finally when they were done,they turned towards the boys.
Amelia thought out loud,"So...where exactly are we?"
They all finally took notice of their surroundings.It was like some kind of jungle.Giant palm trees no more than 5 feet from each other,streching to the sky.
"I have no idea,but we still have to find some where to stay."Kaeli stated.They all agreed.
So they wandered off into the jungle,it was dense,and full of mist.They had to stay close or they would probably get lost.They wandered for a while,but they finally found a place that would work for them.There was a large tree,it wasn't exatly a palm tree but they weren't sure what it was.Its roots were well raised above the ground,making a dome like area.They all crawled under,it was very romy,for a tree anyways.Amelia and Noah were out in a heartbeat ; apperantly they had been up for a while.But Kaeli couldn't sleep.She had a full mind,and an empty stomach.She was thinking about Jessy.She had no idea if she was any where near them,or still alive.She sat near the opening of the tree.Chris couldn't sleep either,he had been knocked out most of the day and was wide awake.He walked over,and looked at Kaeli.He could tell she was thinking about Jessy.He gave her a soft kiss,then said,
"Don't worry,I'm sure shes ok."He soothed her.
"I know...but why did this have to happen?"She was holding back tears,but still a single teardrop escaped her eyes.
Chris held her close to his heart,then said,"I don't know,but don't worry,we'll get through.Just trust me on this."
She looked him deep in the eyes,"Ok,I believe you."
She laid her head in his lap,and fell asleep.
