One day at home..
"Laci!" Anya yelled, as Laci had, for the 12th time, thrown the plastic keys onto the floor..or across the room.
Anya would retreive the keys and try to get Laci to play with them.
"On," Sophie said, folding towels. "Why do you insist that Laci plays with those keys?"
Anya breathed deeply, letting out a long sigh. "They were my favorite toys! Now they are hers!" Anya took Laci's hand, and curled her tiny fingers around the bright yellow ring, which had bite marks dug deep into it, from Anya.
"Mmmhmm." Sophie said, watching Laci stare at the keys for a moment, then toss them away, as if they were disgusting her. This process was repeated several times, and Laci didn't change the steps.
Anya would shove them into her hands, she would stare at them, make the same face, as if saying "These things are atrocious!", then throw them into the next room.
Sophie laughed as Laci did in fact change one step this time.
She threw the keys at Anya, smacking her flat across the face.
"I give up!" Anya said, jumping onto the couch, crossing her arms, and letting out deep exhales.
