Standing at least 95 feet tall, was a black and crimson red and horned creature. It had the appearance of a human but it had everything that a human shouldn’t have, like claws and horns and a third eye… ‘Who are you and what do you want?’ ‘I could ask you the same thing little ones. What were doing in my territory before the full moon fully came into alignment with the sun?’ ‘oh….that’s tomorrow isn’t it?’ nix looked at me. I nodded. There was supposed to be a solar eclipse tomorrow. ‘you’ he pointed at me. ‘me?’ ‘yes you, where did you get that sword?’ ‘someone I know gave it to me’ ‘I made that sword’ ‘you did?’ ‘yup I’m Gassan de Jekul Hymnisea the fourth. But everyone calls me Arthur.’ ‘Arthur?’ nix quivered as she held my hand. I wondered if she knew him somehow…. ‘yup that’s me. Dave the demon of the volcanoes and the nature of fire itself.’ ‘Jes, there’s something u should know.’ ‘what is it?’ I was looking at her and Courtney kept looking back at me and nix ‘I think he’s my dad’ ‘……umm are you sure?’ ‘yes. He’s the one mom said she took an attraction too’ I thought about the situation and it seemed really likely to be true. I never saw nix’s dad before and it would explain where she got powers from. But why a phoenix…. ‘haha’ Arthur’s laugh shook the ground with a tremendous force ‘u little one, are Phoenix aren’t you?’ he pointed at nix ‘ye-yes’ ‘well guess what. I remember your mother. She was beautiful especially when she was flying…’ he looked at the sky as he talked about how such a sweet woman nix’s mom was. ‘but she chose to live the rest of her life mortal about 18 years ago. I chose to stay in damnation because I like it for some strange reason. I miss her though’ ‘my mom could fly?’ ‘she can. she just chooses not too nowadays I guess.’ “aha” my mind finally got it. Nix’s mom and Arthur had nix together and then she wanted nix to live like a normal person so she chose to be a normal person. She probably thought I was normal and let nix come live with me. Of course I’m not normal. I have the blood of Mitsurugi and Grandell, the Gassan’s true owner and a magic swordsman. My uncle was descended from only Grandell, on my moms side. And my father, was descended from Mitsurugi. I’m a mixture. Hahahah. In the end, we are all descended form famous. Heck Christopher Columbus could be my great-great-great-great-great-uncle’s cousin on my dads side twice removed. But back to where we are now… ‘… and as you can see, that’s how I met your mom and what we did on our first “date”. hahaha’ I smacked my fore head. “Oh my fucking god I would not have been detailed with THAT kind of story….. Nix would have been though… T.T” ‘and you right next to nix. Who are you?’ ‘me?’ I pointed at myself fully knowing he was talking about me. ‘this is jes ,dad.’ I heard a bit of shakiness in her words, as if she still couldn’t believe what had happened in the past 30 minutes. ‘well, jes, I can tell you’re a good guy.’ ‘how can you tell?’ ‘well, for starters you have my sword and there is no sign of the curse I put on it anywhere on you. And second, cause phoenix right there is holding your hand.’ I looked down and me and nix were holding hands. I smiled at him and I could see him smile. ‘if my daughter trusts you, I trust you.’ I bowed ‘thank you’ ‘no problem, but if you even think about hurting her in any way, I will kill you.’ ‘I accept the conditions of your offer.’ ‘don’t use big words on me. Trying to make my brain stop or sumthin?’ ‘maybe…’ nix tried holding back her laugh. I held back my laugh. ’who is the girl over there?’ ‘I’m Courtney.’ ‘well hello. How do you know nix?’ ‘I’m one of her friend’s girlfriend’ ‘oh ok.’ he turned his attention back to nix. ‘so which of you pushed in my door bell?’ I thought for a moment who it could have been. I knew that it was scott and Courtney, but I couldn’t remember when….. ‘I think me and scott did. The rock we were sitting on did feel kind of weird cause it sank into the ground under us every time we got on and off of it.’ I was right. It was those two. ‘well, don’t sit on that rock again. And by the way, obsidian is very hard to find in places without volcanoes. I was getting very annoyed that it was some little kids ringing my door bell instead of it being Zeus or Hades or even Aries comes bye once in a while.’ ‘sorry’ ‘its ok. Well I’m going to go to bed. But first, jes, hand me the sword I made.’ I unsheathed it and lifted it above to him. He clapped his hands and turned into a 6 foot average guy…. With a third eye…. ‘thank you.’ ‘what are you going to do’ ‘nothing very special, im just going to make it able to absorb all elements. Before it could only control elements of fire, lightning, and water. And before I could improve it, mitsurugi demanded to have it. He was pretty blunt about it. Oh! You have the stiletto, I stowed away in a pocket book, too?’ I looked down and the handle glinted in his presence. I unsheathed it and handed it to him. ‘I intended to make a basilar, but they were popular and my mind decided to head toward more dagger like appearance.’ he placed his hand on the blades of the swords. I could see an eerie black and red light seep into the swords and envelope them. ‘…. there. The Gassan will now be more powerful. Well, I could make the blade about a thousand times sharper if you wanted me too… but I don’t want his to overtake your mind with power. The stiletto just needs to be placed in your hand’ I held my hand out. Suddenly, as if my body was acting on its own, I clenched the blade in my hand. My hand went through it. My hand went through the blade of the stiletto. I realized what happened. The blade of the stiletto had turned a tint of green, ethereal. The stiletto could interact with only magical substances on its blade. I gripped the handle. I struck the stiletto into my arm. No blood no nothing. The small dagger was passing through my arm as if it wasn’t there. ‘I like this’ ‘only the best for the one who will be with my daughter forever.’ I turned and nix was blushing. I smiled at her and she smiled back. ‘thank you’ ‘your welcome. If the blade ever gets dulled, I’ll be here.’ Courtney waved at him good bye and nix hugged Arthur. I shook his hand and he disappeared.I felt my pocket vibrate and picked up my cell phone. ‘hey jes, are guys okay?’ ‘yeah we’re fine bro. we’ll be at my house in a few minutes.’ ‘I’m already there.’ ‘mkay. See you there.’ I hung up and turned to nix. ’if that’s your real father, who was the guy with your mom?’ ‘my step-dad, dave. I don’t like him very much. He’s normal.’ I laughed and she laughed too. ‘Lets go home please?’ Courtney said behind us. ‘lets walk home!’ I looked at nix and shook my head. ‘can we fly? I got enough exercise for the rest of my life today thank you very much.’ me and nix laughed. Now lets see how rob and anna are doing.
