Kaylee
Sitting by the fire on the beach next to my one and only best friend, Jolie. I met her after Justin and Jesse split. I'm staying with my Aunt Angie in her new beach house since my parents died in a car accident last spring. My little brother and sister are also living here too, but sometimes I wish they wouldn't have ever came here.
"Kaylee, why the long face?" Jolie asks.
"I just feel like something is missing. Ever since I've moved here from Kansas everything's been so bumming." I reply.
"Well, I'm sure you still miss your parents, but if that happened to me I would too, even if they're uncool. I'm here all the way for you Kaylee; remember that."
I smile. Jolie was great to me, but I don't know what my problem is. I start thinking about Jesse and Justin again. I know for sure that I'll never speak to them again. Even if it is the last thing I do. All the screaming and hollering at each other. Honestly, I barely remember anything else to that night.
"I think I'm going to hit the hay. It's getting pretty late. You probably shout too. Your aunt might be worried." she suggests.
"Nah, you can go I'll just stay here. Aunt Angie won't mind me staying out here for a while." I tell her.
"Alright, call me if you need me. Bye."
"Bye."
I watch her walk down the beach. Once I knew I couldn't see her anymore, I sigh looking up at the sky. Billions and billions of stars brighten up the night. It reminds me so much of my past, though I have to idea what the hell my problem is, thinking about Jesse and Justin again. Why do they keep popping up in my mind? I hate them so fucking much it ain't even funny.
Jesse
I left Charlie alone in my apartment. I never did trust him, but I'm just so fed up with him. I decide to drive off somewhere, but not sure where I'm going.
Maybe I'll end up on the west or east coast. I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere Kansas. My mom always said that the grass is greener in California. I don't know if that's true or not, but that sounds like a good place to let my anger out. For all I know, I could be making another mistake, once again.
Justin
Since I just left Vegas a few hours ago, blowing every penny I had, I figured on getting out of this place. It's always the same. Nothing really changes. I mean the weather is nice; no humidity, but all the fucking morons on the streets tire me the hell out.
I was planning on going down south to see my cousins, but I don't really fit in with them down there.
Suddenly, I hear my cell phone ringing beside me. I look over at it and grasp it in my right hand with my left on the steering wheel, trying to look at the caller ID. My eyes lit up in shock. It was the last person I had expected to see calling me. Jesse.
