"What are you doing out here all by yourself?", his question hit me by suprise. What should I say?
"Just taking a walk, getting some fresh air." I wasn't the best liar, but he seemed to by that. He grinned.
"What?"
"Nothing, I was just wondering about something.."
"Oh and what would that be?" I questioned. He grinned again. My face blushed, which pretty much happened all the time.
"I was wondering if you would consider walking with me for a while?" The smile reappeared.
"Hmmm, I think I could do that, if you don't mind ofcourse." How could I say no to a gorgeous face like that? Besides, I wasn't planning on returning home anytime soon....
"Great!" he said. Adam took my hand and said "Lets go."
The whole time we were walking, we talked. Mostly about school, favorites of ours, and family. I told him I've lived in the same house my whole life and that it was just my dad and me.
His family moved here 5 days ago and that explained why I haven't seen him before. Excitement jolted through me when he said he would be at school tommorow.
"I like it here, the neighborhoods not as loud as New York City." he chuckled. I just smiled. Then it hit me.
"What time is it?!" I said panicked.
"Almost 8, why?" His voice was confused, worried.
"I have to go home NOW." I was scared. If I wasn't home soon, I wouldn't have enough time to run up to my room and lock it. I felt liquid come to my eyes. Stupid tears.
"Are you ok, what's wrong??" his voice was soft and caring. I couldn't even look up at him.
"Im sorry, I got to go..." I was turning to go the way we came, but something caught my arm. His hand.
"Don't I get to say goodbye first?"Adams face was pained.
"I'm going to be in so much trouble, make it quick.." I looked up. He was staring at me with concerned and pained eyes. More tears started to pour.
"What's wrong?Please tell me." He took a finger and lifted my chin up so that I had to stare at him.
"Please...I have to go..." I choked out.
"Wait.."
He leaned down and our lips met, a shock of electricity went down my spine.
