            He had the softest lips for a guy. I have no idea how long we were standing there kissing, but I guess that it must have been a while for we didn’t break off the kiss until we heard an “ahem” from someone behind us. I could tell that I was blushing a lot. Me, being the stupid person that I am said, “I’ll see you around,” and took off up the stairs to my floor so I could go hide in my room for a while. 

           About 30 minutes later, I was up in my room still, dancing along to the “Cupid Shuffle” when I heard a knock on my door. I went over and looked through the peep hole and saw that it was Tyler, so I let him in. 

           “What are you doing up here? Hiding out I presume?” he asked with a knowing smile. You see, here, Tyler is one of my best friends and knows so much about me, it’s scary. It doesn’t help that I have this huge crush on him, and I tell him so much. Gosh it all! He’s just too cute. It didn’t help that he started dancing along to the song. 

           “Yeah,” I answered. “What was I supposed to do? If I didn’t leave, he would have questioned me, and the way my brain was going after that kiss, I don’t think that I would have been able to think clearly.” I said as I went over and sat on my bed.

            He came over and sat by me. “So, how was it?” he asked.

            I just looked at him and laughed. “Now, wouldn’t you like to know?”

            He looked hurt, which made me laugh even harder. “As a matter of fact, I would.”

            “Well, it’s better than one of yours,” I said giving him a nudge.  

          He just laughed. “And how would you know this? You haven’t even been kissed by me.”  

           “That doesn’t matter,” I said with a grin. “I can just tell with these things.” 

           “Oh really now?” he said. By the tone of his voice when he said that, I knew that something was up. “I wouldn’t be so quick to judge if I were you.” And with that he leaned in and kissed me. I can’t believe that I was actually getting kissed by the guy that I like! I was just about to put my hand on his head so I could run my fingers through his hair when he broke the kiss. I quickly dropped my hand. 

           He then leaned and rested his forehead against mine.  “So, do you still think that his is better than mine?”

            I just grinned at him. “I don’t kiss and tell.”  

          He just sighed and closed his eyes. “Well, at least you can tell me if I was good or not, right?” he said staring into my eyes. 

           “Well, if you really want to know, I’d say that you’re pretty good,” I said, as I nudged him. I think that I nudged him too hard, because he fell over. Well, that’s his fault for being so scrawny.

            He sat back up and gave me a look. One that sent chills down my spine, but in a good way. He looked as if he wanted to devour me. “Only pretty good, eh? I guess I need more practice to try and change that,” he said leaning in to kiss me again. Right as our lips met my cell phone went off. With a groan, I got off the bed and went to my desk and answered my phone. It was Ashley.

          “Hello?” I asked, knowing what the answer would be.

          “Where the hell are you? Tyler was supposed to go up there to fetch you. Did he get lost or something?” she said very loudly.

         “No, he’s right here. I found a new song that I had to show him. We’ll be down in a moment.” I told her.

         “Well, hurry your asses up!” she said and then hung up.

         I looked over at Tyler. “That was Ashley. We are being summoned to the lobby. So get off your butt and let’s go.”

         As he stood up, he said “Mel, we’re going to have to talk. About what just happened.”

         “I know,” I said looking back at him. “But, we’re going to have to save it for another time. I told Ashley that we would be down there in a moment, so we don’t have any time right now. But I promise we will talk,” I said as I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

         After we left the room, and I locked the door behind us, we decided to take the elevator down to the lobby. We were on the top floor after all, and I was really tired at the moment. We held hands all the way, and in the elevator, he put an arm around my waist and pulled me in against him. I wanted to just stay that way forever, but I knew it wasn’t possible.As the elevator doors opened, he let go and we walked over and out the door to join the others in the lobby. I had to restrain myself from touching him, because I didn’t want the others to see and think that something was up, because we didn’t even know if there was something going on.

         As soon as I sat down, the questioning began. “So, how was it?” Kim asked.

         “Gosh you guys! Can’t I get settled in down here first before you go on asking more personal questions?” I said laughing.

         “I guess that we could,” said Noah.

         “Thank you!” I said leaning back and closing my eyes.

          It was quite for about maybe two minutes before they started again. “So, Melanie, how was kissing that guy?” asked Joyce.

         “Well,” I said, casting a glance at Tyler. He had a scowl on his face.

          “He was pretty good, if I do say so myself.” Suddenly, Tyler had a smirk on his face after I said that.

         “Really Mel, was he only pretty good?” he said, throwing my words from earlier back at me. I don’t know what he was trying to do, but I knew he was up to something. We just stared at each other.

         “What does it matter if he was only pretty good?” asked Ashley. “He was hot! And, he was asking about you dear.” She said excitedly.

         “Really, he was asking about me?” I asked incredulously.

         “Yes he was! He asked what your name is, and where you resided. I think that our little Mel here might have a possible boyfriend!” Ashley said.

         I looked over at Tyler again, and he was scowling again. This time, it was deeper than the last one. I don’t think he likes the idea of me with another guy at the moment. I had to do something to clear everything up.

         “You guys, may I remind you that it was only a dare. And besides, why would someone who looks like him be interested in someone like me?” I asked, hoping to dissuade them from their thinking.

         “I don’t know, you tell us. You’re the one who kissed him,” said Joyce.

         “But guys, it was only just a dare! You don’t really think that I would let it go any further than that, do you?” I stated.They all just looked at me, except Tyler, who was still scowling. Damn it all! What am I supposed to do about two guys?
