"That's good to know", Pat responded, feeling a lil embarassed. "You see, that's what I'm talking about. You're so easy to talk to. I mean, I've only known you for fifteen minutes and I already feel like I can tell you anything", Frank said in his most serious voice.

"I feel the same way, too", Pat replied as she raised her eyes to meet his.

He scooted his chair towards her until they were sitting less than an inch apart.

"Why do I feel so close to you?", Frank asked. "Probably because you're sitting right beside me", Pat laughed. Frank joined her in her laughter and reached down to grab her hands to hold them between his.

"You are so beautiful, Pat", he exclaimed. "Thank you", she answered, feeling her face turn red all over again. "You're blushing", Frank smiled. "Yeah, I know", she replied. "See what you do to me!!" She laughed again.

"Yeah, I see. But listen. I know that we haven't really known each other long and I knowit's only Sunday, but would you like to go out with me on Friday night? Or better yet, how about tonight? Do you think your parents would mind if you went out on a Sunday night?", Frank asked.

"Well, that depends", Pat said. "On what?", he asked. "Can you have me home by ten?", she asked. "No problem!", he responded. "Ok, then. Tonight it is.", Pat agreed. "Pick you up at seven?", he asked. "Seven's fine". "Great!", Frank answered.

"Oh no!", Pat exclaimed. "What? What's wrong?", Frank asked, sounding concerned. "It's 5:00 already!!", Pat said. "Really?", Frank sad. "Whoa! Time sure does fly when you're having a good time." "Well, I have a pen in my purse, but I can't find any paper", Pat said. "For what?", Frank asked.

"Well, how else could I write down my address and phone number?", Pat smiled.

"Oh.. well here. Write it on this napkin", Frank said. "Oh, thanks.", Pat smiled again. "You know, I could just drive around every neighborhood and honk my horn until you come out the door", Frank laughed. "Good idea", Pat giggled. "You think?", Frank smiled. "I think!", Pat laughed.

"Well, here you go. My address and phone number", she replied. "Whoa! This is 2716 Parker Lane. I live on 2720 Parer Lane. Just two doors down from you!", Frank smiled. "Well, at least I won't need directions", he laughed.

"Wow, that's cool", Pat said. "Yeah, it is", Frank agreed.

"Hey, did you walk here, Pat?", Frank asked. "Yeah, why?" "Well, I drove some buddies of mine here. Why don't you just ride home with us?", Frank asked. "Is there enough room?" "Should be", he began. "Although you might have to sit on Dillon's lap."

"No, that's ok. I think I'm safer walking.", she replied. "You probably are", Frank laughed.

"Oh, but thanks anyway for the offer, Frank", Pat said. "Sure, anytime", Frank replied.

"I don't think it would've worked out anyway", Pat responded. "Why is that?" Frank asked, suspiciously. "Well you see, I've got this ot date tonight at seven, so it probably wouldn't look too good if I rode home with a bunch of guys", she laughed sarcastically.

"Good point, Patty", Frank agreed. "I must admit, I too have a hot date tonight", he smiled.

"Anybody I know?", Pat laughed. "Probably not", Frank explained. "If you saw a face that beautiful, you'd never forget it".

"Well then, you'll have to introduce me sometime", Pat replied. "Maybe", Frank began, "If you're lucky." "Oh, is that so?", she asked. "Yeah, that's so." "Fine. Have it your way", Pat laughed. "I will.", Frank said.

"Well, I've got to run home so I can get ready for my hot date tonight", Pat said. "Oh yeah. That date", Frank responded.

"Oh, by the way, Frank. Where are we going tonight?", Pat asked. "Where do you want to go?", he asked back. "Anywhere, as long as I'm with you." "Hmmm, do they serve burgers there?", Frank laughed.

"Yeah, sure", Pat snickered. "But really, wehre are we going?" "How about we go to the movies?", Frank suggested.

"Sounds good to me. What's playing?", Pat aked. "Well, there's a new movie out now called 'Paradise Sands'. It's about this guys and his girlfriend who get stranded on an uncharted, deserted island. They get married and live happily ever after."

"Yuck. That sounds boring and a little bit like a porno flick", Pat laughed. "If we go see that, this'll be the first date I fall asleep on. Are there any good horror movies playing?", she asked.

"I've died and gone to heaven", Frank began. "A gorgeous chick who actually PREFERS horror flicks over romance crap! I love it!! Umm, but anyway, there is one playing called 'Vicious Vampires part III".

"Really?! I didn't know that was in theaters yet!! I've seen parts I and II already and I've been DYING to see the third one!", she exlaimed.

"Ok, then it's settled. Although I must say that I've seen that movie twice already but I don't mind seeing it again if YOU'RE there. Besides, I'll be watching YOU more than the movie anyway", he replied.

"That's so sweet. But, I do have to go. It's already near 5:30 and I have to get home to start getting ready", she announced.

"Why? You look great!!", Frank called. "Bye. I'll see you tonight, Frank", she waved, ignoring his comment but smiling inside. "Bye", he said as he watched her leave the bowling alley, her blonde hair flowing midways down her back as she bounced down the stairs of the building and trotted out the door.
