SOMEWHERE IN THE WOODS

     We had to run through a huge creek. It looked more like a river, but not as deep.

"Brad, do we really need to cross this creek?"

"Well, it's either that, or that creep will come after us!"

     So we did, but I tripped over a rock and the strange man was coming toward me. The current was dragging me toward more and more water.

"Greta!"

"Brad... Help... me!"

     Brad came rushing over me! I was getting weaker and weaker as the guy was getting closer and closer by the minute.

"Here grab my hand" Brad yelled. But I felt something touch my leg. It was that guy!

"Get off of me!" I screamed. "Leave us alone! AHHH!"

"Get your hands off of her! She's mine!" hollered Brad.

     Brad jumped into the water and hit the guy with a rock that was caught beneath the surface. I took Brad's hand and went on.

"Wait! I need to apologize!" The strange guy said.

     Brad and I turned around. Brad kept going but I just stared at him, helplessly trying to get out of the water.

"Brad we should help him."

"What do you mean? He chased us this far, he grabbed you, and now you want to help him?"

"Exactly!"

"Ok, but if he snaps, it's not my fault."

     We walked toward him and pulled him out of the water. He was soaked, just like we were. We took him over to a medium sized pine tree.

"Are you ok?" I questioned.

"Yeah I think so. Thanks." the man replied.

"Why were you chasing us?" wondered Brad.

"I didn't mean to frighten you guys. I just that..."

"Greta, sort for Gretchen," I said, as he was staring at me.

"Greta, was my girlfriend. She ran away with another guy, and I thought from behind that it was you guys. Oh and my names Brian."

"I'm Brad. Nice to meet you."

"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that" I said.

     All of a sudden, I heard my cell phone ringing with "International Harvester" by Craig Morgan. That's when I knew it was Jaden. I have my own song for her.

"Hey Jaden!"

"Hey are you with Brad right now?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Someone was just here and they took Vanity!"

"WHAT!?!?"

"Yeah! Do you think you can come over right away?"

"I don't know, but I'll try the best I can ok. I'll here from you when ever I get there. Bye."

"Bye."

     I hung up the phone. Brad and Brian just stared at me.

"Jaden called and said that someone stole Vanity. I bet it was your girlfriend, Brian!"
