 UP AT THE BARN

Jaden and I saw Brad coming down the driveway.

"Hey what are you guys doing?" Brad questioned.

"Just hanging out. Jaden just put Vanity back into here stall."

"Can I ride her?"

Brad was always upset about not being able to ride Vanity. Jaden was a leary on it, but something made her change here mind.

I started to laugh because he had no idea how to get on a horse.

"Brad what are you doing? Do you even know how to get on a horse?" Jaden asked.

"Sure, why'd you ask?"

"Because the heads that way! Your facing the rear" she chuckled.

"Oh. How do you get her to go?"

Vanity took off like the speed of light. When some one says go, she goes! I don't think I've ever seen her this fast before. I got a timer from up in the barn and I was amazed. She ran, letting the wind pass her wonderful mane. Brad was so freaked out. Jaden really trained Vanity cause when she put her hand out to tell her to stop, she stopped.

Brad came flying face first, literally planted into the ground.

"Brad are you alright" I said.

"Couldn't have felt better" he replied, trying his best

"Jaden, did you see how fast Vanity was?"

"Yeah. What was her time?"

"24 seconds from here to the end of the pasture."

"Really! That's great! I was thinking of putting her in a race down in Kentucky next week."

"That sounds like a lot of fun. I wish luck"

"Thanks." Jaden looked down at her watch. "Oh, no. I need to get home. My mother told me to be home by 3. It's 20 minutes after. I catch y'all later guys"

"See ya" I yelled.

I heard Brad mummling something like "I'm going to kill..." and that's all I heard...
