    I woke up early that morning with my cell phone ringing. I tiredly grabbed it from the nightstand. " Hello."I answered it. " Where are you?" my mom asked angrily. " At Bill's house. I had to help them deliver a calf and it was late and I was tired and I thought it would be smart to not drive when I was that sleepy." " And you thought it was smart to not tell me?" " Sorry I was just really tired." " Yeah you think of that next time, you need to come home now. You have to watch your brother while I go to work." " Ok I'll be home in a minute." " You better." she hung up on me.

    I didn't see what the big deal was, but i guess she has her stupid made up reasons she always tells me. I can't wait for this one's excuse. I looked at the clock on the table and it was seven thirty. I was getting up to get my boots on and that's when I felt how difficult this week is going to be. I was sore all over. After I got my boots on I went downstairs to find Emily cooking breakfast. " Goodmorning." she said as I rubbed my eyes. " Goodmorning." I yawned. She was making some eggs, buiscuts, grits, and sausage and it all looked good. She saw me eyeing the food. " Want some?" she asked.

    " No I have to leave and babysit Trey." " Why don't you bring him over so we can continue with our lessons." Bill called from the living room. " Yeah I'll do that." I left and when I got home my mom didn't say a word to me not even a goodbye.  I took  a quick shower and  got  dressed  then went  back to Bill's house. I ate some of the left over breakfast and it was really good. " Glad you like it." Emily said smiling. " Yeah it was great. Thanks." " Well we better get started." Bill said as he walked up. " Emily you need to come help too." " Yes papa." 

    We walked outside and Billy was already getting Buckwheat into the box. I instinctively put my gloves on and adjusted my hat. Emily had gotten the vest for me so I put it on. I jumped onto Buckwheat and set my hand up and tightened my grip, I was determined to ride him for the full eight seconds. " Alright Billy you'll be guiding him away if he tries to go after Trever when he falls. Emily you open the gate when he says he's ready and I'll keep time and see what your doing wrong." I nodded and looked at Emily. " You ready?" she asked. " Yeah." She opened it the gate and we flew out. It seemed like a lifetime that I was on him but i soon found out it was only four seconds which is and improvement but not as good as i wanted to start off today.

    My phone started vibrating in my pocket. " Hello." I asnwered. " Hey it's Sam." " Oh hey. What are you doing?" " Missing you. Where are you? I stopped by your house and your not there." " I'm at Mr. Thomas' house." " Does he mind if i come over?" " Naw you can come watch me practice riding bulls and help watch Trey." " Ok I'll be over soon." We hung up and i went another round and got a 4.7. " You have to kinda lean with the way he's bucking." Bill said. I nodded and tried again. The whole time i thought about Sam. I was excited for her to watch me. " 5.4. Big improvement." Bill clapped. 

    I smiled. " Good job." Emily said. I took a little break and wrestled around with Trey and Billy. Sam Finally got there. " Hey." I hugged her. " Hey, are you doing good so far with the bull?" she asked. " Yeah." I kinda lied. " I wanna see how good." " ok." I got on and everyone got in their position and Emily opened the gate. He was bucking really hard and I fell off hard. " 7." Bill yelled out  I smiled and I was so excited I didn't move and i saw a hove coming straight for my face. When it hit me it hit me so hard I blacked out
