    " I really still love you too." I leaned over and kissed her. "Bubee can we go?" Trey called out. " Yeah hold on." I looked at Sam. " I'll see you tomorrow maybe?" I asked. " Yeah I'll come over to your house." I jumped off the bed of the truck and helped Sam down. " Bye." I hugged her "Bye." she said. I got Trey buckled in the truck and we left.

    The next day I was out at the southern side of the fence that holds our fifteen acres. I was helping my uncle James fix the fence where some of the cows knocked it down during the thunderstorm this morning. Matt had come to help us. " These damn cows are scared of anything." Uncle James said spitting his dip all over his lip then wiping it off with his sleve.Me and Matt just looked at each other in disgust. " After we get this fence fixed I'm going to have to be heading out." Uncle james studied the fence.

    After about two hours of work it was done and uncle james left and Matt stuck around to hang out. We went into my house and ate some lunch then watched some tv.  I turned it to bull ridin'. " you think you're ready for that?" MAtt asked. " I hope so." Some guy fell off and the bull stomped him in the head. I saw Matt look at me. "Come on lets not watch this, let's go swimming or fishing or something." " Ok." We grabbed our poles and started off to the lake about four acres behind my house. " Trever where are you going?" my ma asked. " Fishing." i answered. " Take your brother with you." " Man do we have to?" Matt whispered to me. 

    " Yeah, lets go Trey we need someone to find worms for us." my mom smiled and went back inside. Trey jumped on my back and i had to carry him all the way there. When we got there we set our poles down and helped look for worms. we filled a jar up quarter of the way and we stopped and baited our hooks and laid out a blanket and sat down. " So what's going on with Emily? She came to me last night at the rodeo looking for you." " Oh she wanted to ask me out." " What'd you say?" " Well at first i said I'll think about it, but then later that night me and Sam kissed. I'm still pretty much in love with her." " Come on man you've been saying that since you met her when ya'll were seven. You only think you like her because ya'll grew up together."

    "No I seriously love her, not because of that but because of who she's grown into." " But look at Emily, she's really pretty and Sam is just Sam." Matt said harshly. " What do you mean Sam is just Sam?" i asked. " Sam isn't sexy like Emily Sam is just cute. Sam is more of a girl that you would like so much but think of her as a sister." " That's what you think." " You know you think it deep down to." I shook my head no. I was getting a bite so  i grabbed my pole and reeled it in. I caught a catfish about a seven pounder. i held it up by it's mouth. 

    " Nice fish." Someone called from behind us. We looked and it was Sam. I put the fish back in the lake and walked to her. " Hey." I smiled. "Hey, why do you look so surprised that i'm here? i told you i was coming." " I dont knowI'm just glad to see you." I sat down where i had been sitting and she sat beside me. "Hey Matt." " Hey." he said lowly.

    We all talked for a while and Trey went home. Out of no where Sam kissed me and we started making out. " Well i'm going to go and give ya'll you time." Matt said awkwardly. " Wait, tell my mom i just wanted to catch a few more." I said knowing my mom doesn't like me being alone with Sam. " Alright." He left and we started making out again. She started to unbutton my pants. i stopped kissing her. " Are you sure?" she nodded and we had sex. 

    We were just laying there cuddling when my cell phone rang. I grabbed it and answered " Hello." " Hey this is Mr. Thomas, Betsie is in labor and remember you said you'd help." " Yeah of course I remember I'll be right over." we hung up and i started getting dressed. " Who was that?" Sam asked. " Mr. Thomas his cow is in labor and  promised I would help." " You mean Emily's dad?" " uh yeah." " Don't go." " I have to I'm sorry I promised." " You better not even talk to her." " I wont I'm just going over there to help deliver a cow, you can trust me." " Ok." I kissed her and left to get in my truck. 

    When i got to the Thomas house i went straight to the barn. Sam shouldn't have anything to worry about Emily wasn't even there, she was at her grandpa's house. " Hey Trever." Mr. Thomas shook my hand. It took a few hours and the calf came out dead. We buried it and we stood above the grave. " Betsie has never had a calf and the first one is dead." Mr. Thomas said sadly. " I'm sorry Mr. thomas." " You can call me Bill. I heard you wanted to be a bull rider." "yeah i really do." " Ever actually rode one?"

    " No not even a mechanical one." " You wanna try right now?" " Are you serious?" I asked. " Yeah our bull Buckwheat doesn't buck that hard, well not as hard as that horse you rode the other night." " Oh that's comforting." I said sarcastically. He put the bull into the box and gave me a helmet and his old bull ridin' vest. i put them on and he helped me onto the bull. When i sat on him he slammed my leg against the gate. " Don't worry he'll be gentle." he laughed. "your cruel." I said.

    I put gloves on and stuck my hand under the rope and tightened my grip. " Ok when you get bucked off get up as fast as you can and run for the edge because this bastard will run ya down." i nodded. " When your ready put your hand up and i'll start the timer and open the gate." I nodded again. I swallowed real hard and closed my eyes. I slowly raised my hand and he opened the gate and we flew out. The first big buck I fell of and ran my ass off to the rail and jumped it.

    The bull rammed into the rail trying to get me. " You got two seconds." " Shit, is that good for my first time?" I asked. " Considering you ride horses not really you should be used to something bucking you off, plus the ones the rodeo uses are twice his size"
