Will’s POV
Sonny was lying on the ground unconscious. I bent down and picked him up. I ran him to his bus and laid him down on the couch inside. I checked for a pulse just to make sure he was still with me. I felt the slow, steady rhythm and breathed a sigh of relief.

I found some paper towels and folded them together. I wet them underneath the faucet and put it on his forehead. I sat there thinking quickly. Should I go find his band mates? Should I leave him here? Should I try and wake him up? What the hell’s wrong with him?

“Oh man,” Sonny said in pain. I looked at him as he opened his eyes. He sat up and glared at me angrily.

“Are you okay?” I asked a little confused to why he looked so angry.

“No, I’m not fucking okay, and if you want to stay fully functional you had better leave right now.”

“What are you talking about?”

“I saw you and Stacey. Stay away from her.” I couldn’t help but laugh. I was nearly twice his size, and here he was practically threatening to beat me up.

“Yeah, right, whatever. Stacey can do whatever she wants. She doesn’t need your consent on who to talk to.”

“Get out!”

“I know what you did to her. She told me she couldn’t handle that on top of her other problems. You’re just jealous because she kissed me and not you.” He punched me in the nose. “Oh hell no!” I punched back and hit his ear. Pretty soon we were on the floor wrestling. It was actually a little pathetic because we kept pulling each other’s hair, and I even attempted to pull out his earrings.

“Hey! What the fuck! Quit it you guys!” someone yelled. Hands grabbed me and pulled me up. I looked to see it was Derek. Travis was holding Sonny. Matt and Wes were just now walking on the bus.

“What’s going on? What are you doing here Will?” Matt asked.

“They were fighting,” Travis said. Sonny was trying to get out of his grip.

“You need to settle down Sonny!” Wes said sternly stepping forward. Sonny stopped struggling but still looked furious. “Ever since that thing with Stacey you’ve constantly been on the edge. We don’t how you’re gonna act from one minute to the next, and to be honest I’m sick of it! Get a grip or we’re gonna have to do something with you!”

“He kissed her! He fucking kissed her!” Sonny yelled pointing at me. “He kissed her,” he said quietly starting to cry.

“I think I should leave now,” I said. I started to walk away, but Derek pulled me back.

“Did you really kiss her?” he asked flatly.

“Yeah…” I was a little scared. Derek and Matt looked angry. Wes and Travis just shook their heads.

“Leave her alone, and go back to your bus.” I looked at him confused.

“GO!” Matt yelled walking towards me. I ran out of the bus to my own. God, what have I done now?

Matt’s POV
He’s lucky Sonny found him kissing Stacey, or he would barely be alive right now. Who was this girl? She had come into our lives and thrown everything out of place. I began to wish I had never met her or even heard about her from Sonny. I thought of the night I met her and what Sonny had said,

“She makes herself throw up.” I knew why I had met her now. I was supposed to help. Why did her and Sonny have to make everything so difficult, though? Just a mention of the other’s name brought them to tears now.

I looked at him. It was pitiful watching him cry all the time. I remembered why he was crying this time. Anger pulsed through my veins. I wanted to beat Will to a bloody pulp. I knew that wouldn’t solve anything, though. I decided to go to see Stacey.

“I’ll be back soon,” I said.

“Don’t kill him,” Travis said.

“Don’t worry about it. That’s not where I’m going. Will should be thankful for that.” I walked up to Sonny and whispered in his ear, “Things are gonna be fine. We’re gonna work them all out. Just hold on.” He started crying even more and hugged me. I hugged back awkwardly. “Gotta go. For real.”

I walked out into the night. It had cooled down about twenty degrees since we performed. I walked straight to Stacey’s bus feeling so many different emotions at once. I wasn’t even sure why I was going to talk to her or what I was going to say. I got to the bus and knocked on the door. Devin answered.

“Is Stacey here? I’m Matt,” I said.

“Hey Matt. I love your music. Yeah, she’s here. Don’t keep her too late tonight. She’s been coming in right before we leave every night,” he said.

“Thanks, and I promise I won’t keep her too long.” He nodded and stepped back up the stairs. Moments later, Stacey came outside and shut the door.

“Hey Matt,” she said smiling.

“Hi Stace. Where were you tonight? I stopped by to see if you wanted to hang with The Academy Is, but you weren’t here.”

“Oh, Will took me to dinner.” She sat down on the gravel looking up at me.

“Really? Do you even know him?”

“Yes really, and no I don’t know him.”

“So why would you go to dinner with him then?”

“Because I needed comfort.”

“Are you telling me the whole truth?”

“God, only six days you know me, and you can already see right through me. Am I really that predictable?”

“No, you’re not that predictable. Tell me what happened.”

“Well, he found me crying and asked me to dinner. I said yes because I wanted to know why he really wanted to talk to me. I told him why I was crying, which was about that Sonny thing. Later on he told me he thought I was gorgeous and wanted to get to know me. I bet it’s just bull anyway. No one would ever say that about me.”

“Stacey, you are gorgeous. Don’t think any different.” I sat down and hugged her. She smiled. “Are you sure that’s all? Remember, I can see right through you.” She sighed.

“We kissed. And I liked it.”

“What about Sonny?”

“I need to stay away from him right now. He’s only bringing me down.”

“You can’t just leave things the way they are. It’s too screwed up,” I said trying to help Sonny. His crying face was in my mind.

“I have plenty of time to fix things. It’s not like either of us is going anywhere anytime soon. We’re stuck together until the middle of August. Besides, I need to take this chance with Will. I need to know if there’s anyone else out there.”

“Okay. Do what you want. I just want to give you some advice. Stay away from Will before it’s too late.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” she asked standing up.

“You’re gonna kill Sonny,” I wanted to say. Instead I said, “Never mind. See you tomorrow. Bye.”

“Bye.” She looked confused before I turned around. I walked back to my bus feeling confused as well. She was going to get over Sonny, and he was going to kill himself. How am I going to stop this?
