I heard many different slams from inside the bus. There also seemed to be a struggle going on from the heavy breathing and yells.

“Calm down, damn!” Matt screamed. “What the fuck’s wrong?”

“It’s Stacey,” Sonny said panting.

“What do you mean?”

“You weren’t in here, but I said that I missed her laugh. She got up and left.”

“That doesn’t mean you can destroy half of our stuff,” Matt said in a soothing voice.

“I know. I’m so sorry you guys. I’m just a fucked up nobody,” Sonny said. He sounded like he was crying too.

“You are not a nobody!” Derek said sternly. “You’re Sonny fucking Moore, one of the greatest singers ever that all the girls go crazy for.”

“There’s only one girl, and she doesn’t want me.”

“How would you know if she wants you or not?” Travis asked. “This is the first time you’ve seen her in what, two years?” There was no sound for a while besides Sonny’s sobbing. I was about to leave because I could barely take hearing him cry about me when Wes asked,

“What happened in the woods man? Maybe we can help you.” Sonny sniffled and said,

“Well, she told me what’s been going on with her since she left. She left stuff out, I could tell. It was really bad what she told me though. I wanted to do something to make the pain go away, but I didn’t know what, so I just held her. She stood up and started walking away. I grabbed her back and she wanted to know about my problems, so I told her. She also asked if I’d had any girlfriends. I said no and asked her. She said that there hasn’t been anyone but me.”

“Well, that’s a good thing,” Derek said.

“Yeah, but then she pulled away.”

“Oh. Well that’s not good.”

“And the worst part was she told me to go on ahead, so I did. She told me she had to squat, but that’s not what I heard. It was really quiet, and I heard gagging noises. She was making herself throw up.” He broke down in uncontrollable sobs. I gasped a little too loud, and Matt looked out the window with a confused look on his face. He saw me and the confused look was replaced by a shocked, then mad one.

“Oh shit,” I said quietly. I started to run away. I heard the door open and close and approaching footsteps behind me. Arms came around my waist and picked me up. A hand was put over my mouth. The person dragged me kicking and trying to scream to a few buses away and put me down. It was Matt. He just stared at me looking madder than anything.

“You were eavesdropping,” he stated. I didn’t say anything or look any different. “You were eavesdropping.” I shrugged my shoulders and nodded. “Did you hear everything?” I nodded. He hit his hand above my head on the bus. I squeaked in fear. “Were you gonna do anything about it? The kid’s madly in love with you, damn it!” I put my head in my hands and started crying.

“Don’t tell him I was, please. Whatever you do, please don’t tell him I heard,” I said shakily. He took his fist off the bus and held my shoulders. He shushed me with his soothing voice.

“I won’t tell him. I swear. I wouldn’t want him to know anyway. He probably wants to appear as a tough guy to you.” He looked down at me with a goofy face. I laughed and wiped my eyes.

“Okay, thanks Matt.” I started walking away. He ran in front of me making me stop.

“Don’t do it.”

“Do what?” I asked frustrated. I wanted to go to sleep after all that crying.

“You know… That last thing he said. Don’t do it again.” I glared at him.

“It’s not your place to tell me what to do. I’ll do whatever I please and talking to you right now is not one of them.” I walked away feeling energized. I was no longer sleepy. I felt like staying up for hours and hours destroying something. I decided to run to my bus. I got there and everyone was already asleep.

I went back outside and found a dumpster nearby. I started to pound on it. Kicking, punching, whatever I could. About ten minutes later I stopped and fell to the ground crying. My hands were bloody, bruised, and swollen already. My feet were throbbing along with my whole body. It didn’t really hurt. It made me feel numb to the emotional pain I was going through. It felt good. I wanted to do some more but didn’t have enough strength. I walked slowly onto the bus and to my bunk. I got under the covers and felt the bus take off. I fell asleep a minute later.
