Same Old Secrets

Aimee sat down at her kitchen table, her smile never fading. Her steaming latte was sitting, still untouched, across from her. She could see the sun rising through the window across the room. It appeared as though it was rising from over the rim of her favroite coffee mug, and nothing could've been more beautiful.

Aimee picked up the mug and took a thin sip. The Latte Deluxe latte maker that her husband had bought for her had turned out to be the best thing that had come from her marriage. That is, besides Mattie, who was staying with her grandmother for a week. Mattie was seven and the only reason for no divorce.

Aimee pushed the thought from her mind and focused her thoughts back onto Dean, sleeping in her bed just down the hall. Yes, he was the perfect man for Aimee. All was right with the world.

All of a sudden, Aimee's joy was interrupted with the sound of the garage door opening downstairs. She jumped up and ran down the hall. She pounced onto her bed, shaking Dean from his dreams. "Dean, you have to go!"

Dean sat up and Aimee handed him his shirt. He threw it over his perfect body. He tossed the blanket off of his tanned legs and pulled on his slacks in a swift motion.Dean shoved his feet into his nice shoes and ran down the hall with Aimee following closely behind and gently ushering him out the back door in the kitchen.

As though cued, Aimee's husband, Greg, pushed open the door leading from the basement, all the while, whistling happily. Aimee kissed his forehead and said, "Hey, honey. How was the conference?"

Greg smiled. "Fantastic!" he said, remembering every detail of his weekend. He walked down the hall, Aimee staying in the kitchen, to unload his suitcase. The first thing he removed from his suitcase: the pair of panties Adeena had given him to remember her by.
