My Take on it All

I guess the saying is true: You never know what you're made of until you are forced into something. And what about the saying: Sometimes the best things for you are the ones that hurt the most. My favorite saying yet: Everything Changes, nothing stays the same. It is so true. Things can't stay the same, if they did we would never have the experiences that have helped carve who we are today. Experiences that have given us knowledge and taught us a lesson that helped mold and form our own unique character. One thing I have learned is that nothing is guaranteed, people come and go, all good things must come to an end, and people seldom stay the same. Life causes all of this. People grow apart - not necessarily for bad reasons, but for different views and outlooks on things and life in general. I know that anyone, in any type of relationship, will have a difference of opinion. It is how those individuals deal with that dilema that either strengthens or weakens their relationship. In one particular case, it weakend the relationship so much, that I doubt it can be strengthened again, if at all. But I was recently told that God brings people into our lives to serve a particular purpose and once their job has been fulfilled, the relationship ends and he brings them into another relationship to either teach or be taught something. I guess in all of the shit I am going through right now, that I have been taught something and my friend will move on to someone else to either be taught or to teach. It is impossible to be in any type of relationship and not gain something from it. Even if the lesson is hard to swallow, there was something to have been learned through the process. Both good and bad experiences leave an indention on our lives. It is how we choose to handle and look at those indentions that either makes us all the better or worse off. I do not regret many things that have happened in my life - b/c it happened for a reason - one I may never know, but God planned for me. I will never apologize for who I am, who I will be, what I believe, how I feel, and what I stand for. I am me and I am proud of who I am. I like who I have become and even though it took a lot for me to see it, I am glad I did. Someone told me the other day, that I have changed. Well of course I have. That is just one of the many processes that people go through as they mature and grow, not only in age - but as a person as well. So to those who have to hide within their insecurities, I am so sorry for you...you should embrace who and what you are and be proud to be you.....
