What Rainy Days Are For

The wind whipped at the limbs of the willow tree outside the window. Rain clanked against the roof while the darkness seeped into the night. We lay there, wrapped in each others’ embrace, on the fuzzy blanket that had been spread out onto the wooden floor. The fireplace crackled and the light from the flame shown onto us, casting shadows that danced atop our flesh. Our bodies were slick and sticky from the orgasmic escapade that we had recently finished. Bliss had filled me when I had peaked and a smile was still plastered on my face.
