Jenny came back to the room a little while later. The three of us hung out in the hospital all night talking. Jenny and I decided to forgive Ben and give him another chance. I’m not saying we are more than friends or any thing. Through out the night I continuously questioned myself if I liked him again or not. But I never got a answer from myself.

“Well Jess I do think you should get some rest. It will probably get you out of here faster!” Ben said in his soft soothing voice yet again.

“Yeah he is probably right!” Jen agreed.

“Fine!” I laughed. “I guess I will see you sometime tomorrow. You guys can go home…there’s not reason to stick around here!”

“No.” they both said at the same time.

“You guys seriously I’m not going to die or any thing. I’m should be fine here. You can go home and sleep in comfortable beds!” I pleaded. I didn’t want them to be uncomfortable here just because of me!

They thought about it by them selves for a while with me insisting they go home and finally they both decided they would leave. Once they were gone I tried to relax and fall asleep. That didn’t work for a while. I cried a lot and finally I cried myself to sleep.

I started to have nightmares of the guy who raped me. I saw him come into the hospital and rape me again…

“Jess! Jess! Wake up!” My eyes shot open and there was Ben standing over me. I was shaking I was so terrified.

“I thought you went home!” I said more embarrassed than anything.

“Well I said I would but I waited out side the room till you were asleep and then came in and stayed in here with you.”

“Why?”

“Jess….your family died…you just got raped…you missed there funerals….I knew you weren’t gong to be ok….I just couldn’t leave.”

“I know. Its just I don’t want Jenny or you to have to see me like this…”

“Jess don’t be afraid of what you look like in front of us. You need us more than any thing right now. You need people to be there for you. And we are trying to be there for you. Don’t worry about how you look or sound when you talk to us!”

“I think I really need to talk to someone about all of this…but I don’t know what to say. Pretty much at first it was just I was sad about the accident and now I’ve been….raped. You have no idea how violated I feel and how terrified I am!”

“Keep going!” he encouraged

“It’s just like what if he gets out? And finds me again? I’m so scared Ben!” I started to cry just at the thought.

“Jessi Jessi its ok I won’t let him touch you again!” he said soothingly which made me stop crying. I scooted over in the bed as far as I could and he came and laid next to me. “Just trust me! Everything will be ok! You trust me right?”

“Of course I trust you! Especially after you saved me!”

He smiled. I snuggled into him and soon enough I was asleep again and I didn’t have another nightmare that night!
