“Finally I thought he’d never leave!” Jenny said happily. “Are you really going to call him or were you just trying to get him out of the house.”

“Well both…I’ll call him and talk it out. But I’m not going to be more than friends or let it get to that!” Disappointment spread across Jenny’s face.

“Jess that’s not a good idea! I really don’t want you talking to him! Please don’t call him tonight Jess! I don’t like this one bit!”

“Jen I’ll be fine! I won’t let it get out of hand! Besides I kind of want to talk to him…”

“See that’s my point right there! You think your not going to get dragged back into his sweetness but your already starting! He just wants to talk and all of a sudden you ok with that? You told me ever since he left you you wouldn’t ever talk to him and look at you now!” I would hear how worried she was. I knew she was right but I badly wanted to talk to him. Just talk and just be friends.

“I know Jen.” Is all I could manage to say and that is when the conversation stopped. We started to eat dinner.

“The funerals are tomorrow….” I stated.

“I know. Jess I’m so sorry for what happened….”

“Don’t be….”

“I always will be and you know that!”

“Yeah. I know.”

“Do you want to talk about it babe. You’ve kept this all bottled up and you can just vent. It’s the perfect night. It’s just you and me.” She insisted.

“No not really. I think I’m going to go up stairs and talk some more with some friends. No offence but I just want to be alone and get some rest. Tomorrow is going to be a big day…”

“No offence taken Hun. Go ahead. And if you want to talk to Ben I’ll be ok with that. If that is what makes you happy.”

With that I went up stairs. I thought about calling my friends so I could hear there voices and actually talk to them but I decided not to because I knew soon I would start crying all over again. So I went online. And of course Ben was online. I hope he never add me to his contacts again! Just as that thought went through my head he started a conversation with me.

Ben: hey

Jessi: what is your problem?

Ben: what?

Jessi: you decide that you don’t want to be around me then you come back to me and then you never tell me your going to be a dad. And uggg whats your problem?

Ben: can I call you and talk to you about it? It would be a lot easier!

Jessi: no.

Ben: why not?

Jessi:

Ben: oh you still crying? Jess I’m sorry! Do you want to talk about it?

Jessi: I’ve already talk to you about it at the hotel.

Ben: you know what idc I’m calling you.

Jessi no don’t call me!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ He just had to fricken call! I knew I didn’t have to pick up but I couldn’t just not to. He was trying to fix things and help me. Much less we both needed to talk. So I picked up the phone.

“Hey.”

“Hey, Jess I’m so sorry! For everything!” he said in his soothing voice.

“Ben don’t be sorry.” I pleaded.

“Well I am. I can’t help it. And I said for everything not just for the accident.”

“Right.”  I said.

“Jess we seriously need to talk.”

“I know that Ben.”

“Well can I come over again so we can talk or can we meet some where?”

“Fine….meet me in the park. Give me 15 minutes to get there from the prairie.”

“Great! I’ll see you there!”

“Ok bye Ben.”
