So now Ben and I were officially dating! I was awesome! I had never felt this way before in my whole life! I couldn’t wait to go to Jenny’s were I could finally meet him and see Jenny again! I was so happy!

Its seemed like forever but it finally came! SPRING BREAK!!! I was so happy! I got to Jenny’s Sunday night so of course I couldn’t go see Ben quite yet so the whole night Jenny and I caught up on stuff and talked to Ben. Jenny, Ben, and I were talking on the phone (he was on speaker). We had been talking for a while.

            “Hey Jessi I need to talk to you…just you. Can you take me off speaker phone?” Jenny and I looked at each other…what could he possible need to tell me that Jenny couldn’t know about? I looked at Jenny and turned the speaker phone off and put the phone to my ear. Jenny gave me that look of hers that says: come on Jessi don’t do that! I wanted to here to! So I mouthed to her: I’ll tell you everything later. She nodded her head in understanding.

            “Okay you’re off speaker. What’s going on?” I asked nervously

            “Well I need to ask you something...” he said weary.

            “Ok what is it?” I started to get really scared... I mean come on what else can he ask me that’s really good news in the end?

            “Well its just…”

            “Ben just tell me!”

            “My ex wants to go to the movies with me…but I wanted to know if you’d be ok with that.” Inside I knew I wasn’t okay with that at all! I really did not want him going with who ever his ex was. I looked at Jenny with a worried expression on my face. See I didn’t want him to go with her but then again I didn’t want to be one of those girlfriends that won’t let the guy do any thing… so I was kind of stuck…

            “Do you want to talk to Jenny about this? You can its okay…”

            “Umm hold on…” so I explained it all to Jenny and she understood that I didn’t want him going with her.

            “let me talk to him Jessi…maybe I can help you.” Jenny said…I felt kind of dumb…this wasn’t that big of a thing yet Jenny helped me deal with it… I could only hear one side of the conversation which wasn’t that interesting. So I got up and went to the bathroom. When I came back Jenny had her finger up to her lips signaling me not to talk. Then I realized the phone was back on speaker and Ben didn’t know.

            “Well do you still like Kaity?” Jenny asked him. I figured Kaity was his ex girlfriend. I sat there so impatient. I really wanted to know!

            “Don’t tell Jessi…but yeah I do…”

            “Well do you like her a lot?”    

            “Well…kind of…I still have feelings for her…like I guess I do still like her a lot…” I was so shocked and upset! I couldn’t believe what I had just herd! I was so upset…not just because he still liked her but because she and he lived way closer and for him and her to get back together would be pretty easy…I looked at jenny and mouthed: end the phone call…I don’t want to hear more... I couldn’t believe it…maybe we weren’t going to really be together long…so far this ruined the week I was looking forward to!
