So here’s the story. I absolutely hate my real name, so people know me as Demi. I’ve been through nine years of school, including kindergarten, with the same friends and everything. My room hasn’t even changed since I was in second grade when I decided to paint it purple. It’s a shame that my mother hasn’t decided to paint it for me. She loves that sort of thing.

Well my brunette hair and short body makes me one of the most ordinary girls I have ever seen. The only noticeable feature on me is my eyes. They are a very dark blue that sometimes almost seem like a really dark grey. So being as ordinary as I am, I have never had a boyfriend. And I’m thirteen! No guy has asked me out. No guy has shown any interest in me. Nothing. Nada. Zero.

I don’t think my family even notices me. My dad has just been fired, and my mom all of a sudden feels like divorcing him. So he either sleeps on the couch, or finds one of his guy friends to let him crash at their place for a few days. The only person who shows any remote interest for me would have to be my baby brother. He’s two, and mom doesn’t pay much attention to him. She’s been dating around now cause of the divorce, or “separation”. So I’m left to make him dinner, wash him, put him to bed, etc.
