Three Years Later

GABES POV

My smile has never been larger than this. I saw my beautiful wife-to-be walking up the aisle of the church. It took a lot of convincing, but wee finally got her parents blessing. She looked amazing in her off-white dress. Her smile was the most radiant thing in all of the church.

We said our vows, and got past the ring part. Her plastic ring that I gave her to propose is still on her finger. She wouldn’t let me buy her a real one. I let a small laugh escape my mouth the second before I was about to kiss my bride. She looked at me with the questioning eyes which I loved so much, and understood as I gazed back at her. She wrapped her delicate hands around my neck, and I put my hands on her waist. We embraced each other in a kiss that symbolized the start of our new lives together. We broke apart to hear an entire church clapping for us.

The Reception

GRACES POV

We danced to out first song, and I had never felt safer in anybody else’s arms. He looked at me and I looked back.

I’ve known for years that Gabe used to be emo. I know for a fact that he hasn’t cut since the night he proposed. I whispered in his ear,

“Thank you, for always being there. Thank you, for being my emo lover.”

And he smiled.
