***Hey guys, sorry it's been forever since I've posted another chapter, but school's been running me and my friend down and we've just had too much on our plates. So, hopefully, now we'll get to write more ^_^***

On the right sat Luca, silent and deep in concentration. He was studying something. Akuyuki took a step forward, and he immediately looked up. His gaze turned from her to me. My cheeks started burning, looking deep into his emerald eyes, and I quickly looked away toward the other side of the room. There stood Eliza, busily dusting one of the many bookshelves that lined the room.

I did a double take when my eyes brushed over her. A smile almost found its way to my lips, but a sudden chill ran down my spine as I remembered Akuyuki standing there just feet in front of me.

“Eliza!” Her voice boomed through the room. I winced a bit. Eliza cowered at the sound, but obediently came over. “I would like you to be Eve’s mentor. Show her around. Teach her the rules. But, if I hear of any suspicious behavior going on, there will be consequences.” Her eyes narrowed a bit. Eliza humbly bowed her head.
At that, Akuyuki wistfully turned on her heel and glided out of the room, the door groaning behind her. I stand there for a few minute, taking it all in.

We all stood there in silence for a few more seconds before I had the guts to murmur, “So, Eliza, are you ok?”

“I don’t know,” she said softly, her eyes tracing the floor.

“She is, for now,” said Luca, to my surprise, ever so quietly.

“What do you mean?” I inquired.

“You’ll see,” he replied. That didn’t sound good.

“I don’t understand. Does it have anything to do with her neck,” I asked, pushing my luck. Eliza shifted a bit and ran her fingers over the holes on her throat. She looked uncomfortable. Luca didn’t answer me, he just stared. I couldn’t help but turn red. He noticed and then turned away, walking back to the desk.

“PS,” he interjected suddenly, “That hurt.” I didn’t even have to look at him to know what he was referring to. I smiled a little.

“PS,” I replied, “It was meant to.” I didn’t have to see his face to know that he was smiling back.
