Chapter 4

The next day we woke up pretty early thanks to my 'mother' or as I call her Samantha. She burst threw the door getting home from work in time for breakfast slamming the door. Akira woke sitting up quickly shouting earthquake! I slammed my hand over her mouth telling her to shut up its just my mother getting home. She nodded and we giggled.

I hurried and jump out of bed and got ready for school. Then we ran over to Akira's place and she also does the same. Hopping on my moped and speeding (slightly) to school. When we arrive at our destination I have to pry Akira off of me because she doesn't like going very fast on the moped. A cop gives us a funny look as I bring my leg over and jump off. I give him a dirty look and mouth pervert! He quickly diverts his eyes and we pass him extra slow and I watch him struggle to keep from looking over at us and being caught.

Akira and I split up, but we will see each other again Saturday. I head out to my locker at a slow jog so I won't get in trouble. At least today is Friday that is always a plus! I grab my stuff and head to my first class. It was really boring! Akira's class was more interesting, she had art and lucky for her Carole had the same class as her. They have been paired up for a team project that might be put into a contest!

By the second class I was about to fall asleep with absolute boredom. This day wasn't going to be a good one that much I knew. Every class someone had to know about the attempted robbery at my house. Which got the whole class talking about it and really annoyed me! I also felt I was being watched again, but not by the same guy, not by Kadeem, I think his name was. Hey doesn't Kadeem mean servant! But I think someone else is watching me, but I dismissed it for now.

Everyone seemed to know me now since the whole incident. All the girls were a little jealous, I think that's why they teased me and started roomers. But the guys were definitely giving a different reaction, a flirty reaction. It was really annoying and one guy was relentless, he was determined that there was a pick up line that worked on every kind of girl. He tried the whole time to find one that worked on me. I wasn't able to tune him out! A large and really cute guy came up to me and asked if he was bothering me. The guy rambling on looked him up and down and immediately shut his mouth moving away to bother some other poor girl. The guy introduced himself to me telling me his name was Alton. I told him my name and he took a seat behind me smiling every time I glanced back at him. When the teacher came in I kept my focus forward, deciding to pay attention in class. This was made difficult when he started to play with my hair gently twirling around his finger forcing me to look back at him and then he just grinned.

I walked out of class purposefully going extra slow so I wouldn't have any unwanted company. On my way to the next class I saw a shadow following me and I jumped and stood still. I waited watching the shadow stand there out of sight waiting for me to move on. I walked slowly hoping to catch a glimpse, I kept my faced turned at an angle to watch my back when I ran into Alton. “I'm sorry” I said. “Is something wrong?” he asked

“No, I can take care of myself, now I must really get to class.” I told him as kindly as I can.

“Alright I'll walk you then.” he told me. I couldn't refuse, it might get this stalker off my back and he sounded pretty firm about walking me to class.

He walked me all the way to my class and watched me go to my seat. I sat down and someone sat besides me to my left. I looked who it was and lucky me it was Kadeem. But it gets worse, Alton sees Kadeem wink at me and he enters the room sitting besides me to the right. I looked over at Alton confused and asked him if he was in this class. He just said that he is now. Kadeem was confused and looked over at Alton with hate. Alton smirked slightly and played with a strand of my hair. Alton looked to me for a response and I sat there as if I couldn't see them and gave them no response at all.

Alton smiled wider directing it at Kadeem. Kadeem reached out and brushed the back of his hand down my fore arm. I shivered slightly. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold ignoring them, I don't think I've led either of them on! Kadeem and Alton were now more focused on giving each other hateful looks, but at least they were done messing with me. I ignored both of them until class was out and the lunch bell rang. This time I dreaded it though, Akira didn't have the same lunch as me today but both Kadeem and Alton did! I went through lunch quietly sitting in between the two boys who were quarreling for nothing. I wasn't interested in either. I got up to leave and went down a back hall so as not to be stopped by a teacher again. I was being followed, I thought it might be the stalker so I shouted for them to show themselves. Kadeem came out from around the corner.
“Mika.” He looked at me like he was sad.

“Kadeem what's wrong?” I asked not sure why.

“Mika I warned you not to attract attention, I told you they would all want you.” He complained.

“Kadeem I'm not a doll, I don't belong to anyone!”

“Oh but you will Mika, I wanted you to come around on your own, but...” He trailed of and pushed me against the wall gently, placing his hand at the base of my back and pulling me to him. I pushed away from him and told him to leave me alone, but he didn't listen. He pursed his lips disapproving of my rejection. He leaned closer and I turned my face away, I felt him lightly kiss my neck. Then he squeezed me a little tighter before releasing. “JERK! Don't you know when to leave people alone” I said digging my nails into his chest to make him back off and let me leave the wall.

“Not really” he responded “Except with you, I respect your boundaries more than others”

“No you don't! You call that respecting boundaries!”

“For me yeah, sorry” he smiled at me, and I rolled my eyes ignorant jerk is all i could think. “Think of me tonight!” he yelled as I rushed away. He makes me so mad! The nerve he has to mess with me! I ran right into Alton. “Ugh!” what is it with everyone, I thought. Alton grabbed my arm as I tried to pass and asked me whats wrong. “Nothing!” I yelled at him.

“Sure doesn't sound like that.”

“Just let me go!”

“What if I want something from you?”

“What? Leave me alone!”

Alton pushed me into the bathroom and told me he was going to make it all better. I punched him in the face and ran out.

After school I just wanted to go to bed. Why can't I meet a decent guy! What is with all of them being so impatient and forcing themselves on all the girls! I went up to my room and plopped on my bed. I couldn't sleep though, and when I did I had a horrid dream about Akira. I got out of bed pacing not able to get rid of this dream. It was like I could hear her screams in my mind. I couldn't stand it, I ran out of the house in my pajamas and jumping on my moped sped to her house as fast as it would go. When I got there I let myself in, running up to her room. I opened her door and she was there terrified, gagged, and tied up!

She was mumbling and straining to get free, saying something like turn around. I turned bring my foot up and around with me and hitting something hard. I realized that I had kicked someones head. Looking down I realized who it was immediately. Anger flushed through me and I glanced at the frightened Akira, now noticing that her clothes were torn. I was filled with rage knowing who he was, and what his intentions were!
