Chapter 3 – See through Sally

Sally got ready for bed and went to her room. It was a large but oddly shaped room. Sally brought it together well though. Using angled seating arrangements that brought a comforting feel. She climbed under her fluffy red blanket and thought to herself. This time I'm going to take a few days, and actually let the history of my discovery sink in. Sally turned on her side and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning Sally woke up she had an odd sensation that she just had a vivid dream. But she was unable to remember it. She got out of bed and went to her closet to pick out an outfit. She chose a pair of jeans with a draped belt around it, and a pink tank top with a white see through shirt over it. Then she put her long brown hair up into a clip letting it fall messily. Added a necklace and a touch of black eyeliner to bring out the green and conceal the brown in her mixed colored eyes. The phone rang down stairs and she burst out of the room and tried to catch the call. Rushing across to the phone she answered breathless just in time to hear the click of the other line going dead. She checked who called and saw it was Fay.

Hmm, Fay's up earlier than usual. Must be because of the first full day of summer is here. The phone rings again and causes Sally to jump, she answers it. “Hello?”

“Sally come over right now and we can have breakfast, go bowling, and then you can spend the night!”

“Whoa slow down Fay, okay okay I'm on my way.” Beep Sally hangs up and hurries back to her room packing up everything she needs. Then tosses it over the stair rails letting it fall in front of the door. She rushes to her mothers room kisses her good morning and tells her she is off. “See you tomorrow mom,” she yells as she shuts the door.

As she turns the lock in the door she hears the engine of Fay's mothers car pull up into the drive way. “Hey Fay!” I shout getting into the back seat of the car besides Fay. She greets me back and her mother pulls out. We head to a buffet and Fay grabs a tray rushing around getting her choice of all the food. By the time I get around myself and sit back at the table Fay has already eaten half of what she picked out! I chose an omelet and some fruit and yogurt on the side. I sat besides Fay eating slowly and thinking, while Fay rambles on about how were going to spend the first full day of summer.

We then finish eating our meal and head out to the bowling alley. I rummage through my things in the back of the car and pull out five dollars to rent my shoes. Entering the bowling alley all of the lights are either dimmed or out and the disco lights are on. There are little disco balls hanging over the lanes and twinkling across everything. We all make our way up to the desk and Fay's mom gets us lane 09 then we all get our shoes. Size 9 for Fays mom, 8 and ½ for Fay and the same for me. We pick our balls according to weight and I get a greenish yellow one that looks like someone threw up on it. We bowl 3 games and I win them all. I laugh as Fay pouts while returning our shoes. She cheers up quickly on the ride home though.

When we get there we run upstairs and through her bedroom to, you won't believe how lucky she is but, her balcony. Yes its only big enough for two small chairs to sit there but come on a balcony! We did each others nails. I choose pink to match my outfit, and Fay chose brown to match her outfit and hazel eyes. Then next thing we knew we heard someone climbing up the side of her house. I looked over the edge and gasped!
