    Wow! Today was crazy. It’s exactly 24 hours until my first day of middle school. I am so totally nervous. I just got my class schedule, and I have no classes with my friends, Victoria and Morgan. To top it off we have separate lunches too, something about A lunch and B lunch. What ever, at least I’ve have Mrs. Austin. She was my teacher at summer Bridges, she’s awesome. I just hope everything goes well.

    Oh my gosh! I am so tired. I’m NOT kidding. The campus looked so much smaller at Summer Bridges. Okay, so here are my classes: First period I’ve got band. There are lots of clarinet players, that’s good so they won’t here me mess up. Second period I have math with Mrs Crabb. What can I say, It’s math? Next I I’ve got Mrs Austin third and fourth period. I have no I idea if she remembers me from Summer Bridges. I always feel that teachers don’t know who I am. The cool part is the cool part is I could leave my backpack in during lunch because, I have her fourth period. Lunch was horrible, I was a loner. It does NOT feel good to be a loner! Right now lunch is the worst part of the day. Fifth period is PE, with Mrs. reaves, at least that’s what it said on my schedule. We have a sub named Ms. Conclin, for three months. Mrs. reaves is having a baby. Sixth period is science with Mrs. Durran, so far she’s my favorite. Guess what? I’ve got homework on the first night!

    Today is Friday! Yes! And guess what, I’ve got a friend. I’m not a loner any more! There’s this girl named Jenna I met at Summer Bridges, and the same exact thing happened to her, all her friends got B lunch. so I guess loner + loner = friends.
    Today in Mrs. Austin’s class we talked about our class room civil rights. We can say some “bad words” because when you are mad it doesn’t make sense to say, flowers, flowers, flowers. Some words are just better in certain situations. But I don’t cuss or anything so I don’t really care about that. I have to go Monk is coming on. Yes!

    Do you know what I just realized? There is at least one other Samantha in every one of my classes, except for Band class. It gets very annoying when the teacher says ‘Samantha?’ and we have to as ‘Which one?’ The Book Fair is at our school. I love books, but I’m not going to the Book Fair, if that makes sense. This girl named Jessica came to sit with us, I mean Jenna. I felt so left out, because they didn’t include me in the conversation. Jessica got this quiz book from the Book Fair, I thought that was pretty cool.

    I hate  having a roller backpack! Everybody kicks it, I mean everybody. I’m not aggressive so I don’t try to run them over with it or anything. It’s also a pain to carry it up the stairs. I can’t get a regular backpack until the seventh grade, because my mom already spent money on this one. Okay I’m done complaining.
    In PE we’re playing basketball! I’m no good, but it’s fun to run around and dribble the ball. I play soccer and that’s a contact sport, basketball not so much. There is a rule that you can not double team, so I guess, leaning into the person to get the ball is out of the question. We get our gym lockers tomorrow!
