Hell's Cabin. (Part Two)

Tragedy Created on 7-4-08 Views(88) Story Rating R

"Come on!"
Within a second they were back inside.
"Carly, you okay?"
She was crying.  A broken dish lay on the floor.
"It was a rat!"
Judy sighed a sigh of relief.
"It's just a rat, honey."
"No, this one was different!  It had one eye, and it was red!"
"Red?"
"Red!"
"Jess, put her to bed, me and Judy will clean this up."
"Right."
Carly clutched Jessy like her life was on the line.  He was woried, Carly had seen something that scared the shit out of her.

"She asleep?"
"Yeah, took awhile to calm her down, but she's fine now."
"Good."
Jessy joined Judy and Corry back outside around the fire pit.
"What do you think it was?"
"I don't know, a rat...mabey."
"I don't know Jessy, there was something in her eyes that was just...just."
"Scared?"
"No, more like horrified."
They sat quiet for awhile before Jessy stood.
"I'm gonna' hit the hay."
"Allright, see you in the morning."
"Or afternoon."
Jessy responded.
"Why's that?"
Jessy looked at Judy and gave an evil smile.  Cody laughed.
"I think we'll stay out here for awhile then."

Fourty minutes passed before Judy and Cody decided to head in, she grabbed her sleeping bag and headed in.
"Shh.  Don't wake them."
"Come on, they way they get going it would take a plane crash to wake them!"
Judy tried to hold in a giggle.  She layed her bag out on the floor and sat.  Cody joined.  They passed some time playing cards followed by some making out.
"Got any threes?"
"Nope."
As Judy went to reach for the deck of cards, Cody's hand stoped her.
"What?"
"There's someone out there."
"What makes you say that?"
Cody pointed at the window.  The same shadowy figure that Jessy had seen was standing in front of the window.
"Cody..."
"It's allright."
Time seemed to stop.  Whoever it was, they were not leaving.  Judy came close to her boyfriend.
"I'm scared."
"Shh."
The figure now was moving.  It raised an arm and dropped something then left.
"What the fuck."
"Cody."
"Stay here."
Judy layed on her bag waiting.

Whoever it was, was now gone.  Cody shined the flashlight to where he or she had dropped the item.  It was small and black, but on closer examination...it was a rat's eye.  Cody tried not to scream and looked around into the darkness.

"What was it?"
"N-nothing."
Cody crawled into the bag with Judy.
"Cody?"
"I'll talk about it later."
Judy was worried, her thoughts raced followed by the sound of the zipper that closed them in for the night.
