Till The Day I Die: The Cleansing

Tim was in the bathroom preparing to take a shower when he removed the bandages from his wrists. He noticed that his scars were looking better. He always found scars fascinating, He found the fact that skin could be torn apart then ether bring it's self, or like in his most recent case stitched back together then heal without anymore help amusing. He put his iPod into the speakers he kept on top of the back of his toilet. It took him a few minutes to decide what to listen to, but he finally went with "Happiness" by Elliott Smith to start his day off with. He turned on the water then tested it with his right arm, it didn't take long for him to realize that the water was much to hot to shower in, so he turned the cold water up. When he took his shirt off he caught whiff of the kind of smell that reminds a person why they should clean themselves everyday better then anything else in the world can. After removing all his clothes and getting in the shower he discovered that he had made the water to cold before. After some time of trying to get the water right, he finally got it where he was happy with it. As he wet his hair and applied the shampoo he started thinking about what his friend had told him. Maybe it was time he got over it. It wasn't that bad, he could always get a new job, one working for someone who wouldn't sleep with his wife. Rachael was right, he had to start trying to rebuild his life. He couldn't just wait for someone else to make things better for him, he was going to have to do it himself. Tim couldn't help but feel like this was the day that everything started to turn around.
