"Oh Jillian I had no clue you parked here." his smile sent butterflys fluttering throughout my stomach.  I walked around my jeep and stood in front of Cloud. He was leaning back onto the roof of his car with a backpack propped up next to his foot.  "How was the rest of your day yesterday?" He questioned.

I crossed my arms over my chest. "Rather uneventful. Which I'm guessing is a good thing from your point of veiw on the situation."

His voice got soft and low, "I keep asking myself why am  I the only one who seems so worried about you?"  Curiousity was obvious on his face.  I stared into his green eyes which were sparkeling in the sun.

"It's almost impossible for you to be so worried about me.  You've only know me for a day.  Besides, the only reason no one seems worried is because they think they have nothing to worry about.  They don't know about the 'incident' yesterday, and I don't intend for them to.."  I try my best not to sound cocky.

If even possible his voice got lower. "They will find out eventually though, you know they will."  I flinch as he says this knowing its the truth.  There is a ringing sound as the bell signals for us to head to our first class of the day.

"Good-bye Cloud."  I say while walking as fast I can towards the school.  If he said something in reply I didn't hear it.

After getting inside the school doors I was greeted by a wave of voices all trying to talk over one another. I slow down my pace while navigating through the crowded hallways.  Familiar faces pass me by and I smile at people in reply to there muffled hi's and hey's.  Everything is normal.  Just like I said, no one knows.

When I reached my locker I put in the combination and through my backpack inside of it.  Two years ago when I was a freshman everyone got assigned a locker and it would be your locker untill you graduated. Then it would go on and on, so the only students who wouldn't know exactly where they were going would be the freshman.

"Oh my god Jill! Hey how was your summer?" My best friend Melinda was practically yelling into my ear.  She gave me a hug, and I laughed.

"Nice to see you to Mel.  I can't believe school's here already." I gave an exaggerated sigh. "Oh well."

Melinda wasn't listening.  "Holy shit Jill, total hottie walking down the hallway.  Never seen him before, maybe he's new?"  I looked down the hallway to where Mel was pointing to and saw Cloud coming towards us.

"Thank you for just leaving me out there not knowing where to go Jillian." Cloud said to me when he reached the spot where Melinda and I were standing.  Mel's eyes got wide as the looked back and forth from my face to Clouds.

"Sorry." I mumbled. "I was in a hurry and I forgot you didn't know your way around.  Honest mistake, really."  I faked a smile.

Cloud shook his head and smiled.  "Oh well, this girl named Tracey came and helped me.  Um, Tracey McCoy I believe her name is."  My jaw tightened.

What was this jealously going throughout me?  "Thats great.  I heard shes looking for this months boyfriend." My voice was sounded high and tight.  Cloud noticed and his eyes danced with pleasure.

"Well I'd best be going, wouldn't want to miss my tour of the school." Cloud walked away this time and left me there with a baffled Melinda.

"What was that Jill?"

"What was what?"  Thoughts ran quickly throughout my head as I tried to figure out a decent lie so Mel wouldn't find out.

She twisted her blonde hair around her finger as she replied.  "You know him?"

"Um..ya.  My car broke down the other day and he stopped to help out."

"Hm.." Melinda seemed to accept this.  "Well, its so obvious your attracted to each other."

"Ya. right." I laughed trying to make it to seem as if I really didn't like him.
