“Oh Grandpa tell me a story, about when I was younger,” Natasha asked.

“Which one my sweet?” I asked.  I had so many stories I could tell her.

“Whichever one you please,” she smiled then lay down in bed.  I thought about all the good times we had shared…

“Grandpa can we go? Oh please Grandpa please?” pleaded my granddaughter.

“Alright,” I said.  We walked over to the merry-go-round.  She had never been on one before.  We waited in line and when it was our turn to get on, she had her Grandma get on with her. 

Natasha rode a lovely pink horse, while my Caroline stood right next to her.  They waved to me as the ride started. I returned the wave.

I could see the unease in my granddaughter’s face as the ride began.  She looked very afraid.  She looked at me and I smiled.  She returned my smile.  I winked at her then she turned out of my site.

I could see her eyes light up as the ride started to go faster and faster.  By the third time around, her long wavy hair was trailing out behind her. 

She looked like she was having the time of her life, and so was I.  I loved to see her have fun.

After the ride was over, my Caroline and little Natasha came over to where I was.  Natasha ran the last of the feet.  Then jumped, I caught her and set her on my hip.

“Can we do it again Grandpa?” she asked.  I nodded.  She opened her mouth to say something, then closed it again.  I started to tickle her.  “Okay, okay I’ll tell you what I was thinking!”  I stopped tickling her, “This time will you go with me?”
