What my life has been like, just felt the need to write it all down, will finish soon...
Personal Created on 12-30-08 Views(78) Story Rating PG

I was merely 5 when my world felt like it was crashing down.

That was the year that my found out that my dad was doing drugs and kicked him out.

After that, my dad lived on the streets for an entire summer, and I didn't see him once.

Then, things started to look up again, he moved in with my grandma(his mother)across

the street and I visited him a lot.

Then, just as things had gotten better, they were crashed down again when my dad ODed

and I did something that no child should ever have to do, my sister and I had to go say

goodbye to him because the doctors believed he wouldn't be alive for much longer...

But the unexpected happened; my dad survived.

After his near-death experience, my dad was enrolled in rehab, which is where he met his girlfriend; Rina.

After rehab. he moved in with her, and my sister and I went to visit every so often.

I happened to like Rina, she taught me how to knit and I finished my first scarf. I also liked her kids; Carmen and Sam.

The next thing I knew, it was winter, and my dad pulled us on our sleds using my grandpa's tractor. He kept looking back at us making sure we were okay when he ran into our barn. This accident caused my dad to break his wrist and once again wasn't able to see us for a while.

When we did see him again, it was at his and Rina's house, and to our surprise, both of them had one arm in a cast. My dad and the people around him are, you could say, accident prone.

So things improved a bit, Rina went to prison(not really an improvement), and dad moved back in with my grandma. That was when he started drinking with my uncle...

Now don't get me wrong! My dad was not violent or anything when he drank, he just was very obnoxious to talk to. He would tell my sister and I how much he loved us and ask us if we would be said if he died. At this point I was around 11, my sister 9. Even at this age, his behavior still surprised us...

About a year later, my father moved in with my uncle at his house he had built on the beach. We visited him there and quite enjoyed it too, because the house was so much bigger than ours...

That was when a tragedy took place. When my grandma had had her four kids, she also adopted my aunt kelly. Kelly's mom didn't have what it took to take care of her so grandma gladly took her. Well, as Kelly grew older and became a hair stylist at the Bellingham Beauty School. Then something happened that forever put her life on hold. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor...
