    What's the deal? Kaylee muttered to herself as she sat in on the bathroom floor. It's not going to hurt too bad. Not as bad as I already hurt. Her hand shook as she lifted the blade.

    Later that day:

    "Kaylee what the fuck are you doing?" Brock yelled through the house. "Hello I am fucking talking to you?"

    She stayed quietly in the closet and listened. It was the third time he had come home drunk and she wasn't going to suffer under his anger this time.

    "God-Damnit Kaylee!" She heard glass shattering as he tossed shit carelessly around the house.

    Kaylee thought about what he was yelling about. The dishes they weren't done.  She had been busy snooping through his things to do them. She had been shocked to discover not one ounce of cocaine but she did hit up his journal. He wasn't doing cocaine and it was driving him crazy but he wouldn't do it. He had been coming home in an angry stupor beating her around, so she had thought he had been at it again. No he was just having a hard time. Kaylee thought if she stayed in the closet it would blow off and he would be fine. That was until he nearly ripped the door open off of  its hinges.

    "Why the hell are you in here? Why aren't the dishes done? What the hell have you done all day? Sat on your ass?" Brock smiled and helped her up and then struck her across the face sending her flying across the room. He started to walk towards her and she ran in the bathroom that they had shared for the past year. She locked it behind her. She climbed in the empty tub and shook like a leaf. She could hear him screaming at her to get out and stuff smashing against the door. That's when her pink razor caught her eye. SHe picked it up gingerly. IT really would be easier if she just killed herself. She hadn't even noticed until now it was quiet. Then her eyes flew to the doorknob as she watched the lock turn in place

    If he was coming in she didnt want to see him so she looked down. Instead she heard, "Ma'am? Miss would you hand me that?" She looked into the eyes of a man named Samuel He was a Sheriff. Wordlessly she handed the razor over.

    "Ma'am he's dead. He had pulled a gun on our officer that came to the domestic disturbance call. We had no choice. Are you going to be alright?" He then saw the bruises that literally covered her. He saw how beautiful she was and wondered why it happened to the beautiful ones. He vowed that this was the last one and that he would make a change.
