hey made their ways down the aisle. All one hundred and fifty students. As Kaylee walked down the aisle she could feel Brock staring at her from the other side of the auditorium. She glanced over and looked at him,he smirked. She looked that bastard in the eyes and curled her nose at him. Then she looked away, the rest of her pretense gone. They sat down side by side. She tried to keep her focus dead ahead but had a hard time doing so. She didn't hear a word of the ceremony speeches, all she heard was Brock whispering next to her.
"How ya holding up?" He asked and laughed quietly.
"Screw you. How would you be holding up?"
"Those are some mighty brave words darling." He drawled sarcastically, " Seeing the position your in, aren't you scared it might happen again?"
"No." Her voice wobbled.
She felt his hand sliding up her leg and all she could think was dear God! She felt her legs begin to tremble and she heard her name,
"Kaylee vernelli Congratulations, receive your diploma now."
She stood up and made her way to the front. As soon as the diploma was in her hand she ran out the side of the auditorium. She kept running through the front doors of the school. She just ran. Not quite sure where she was going,but she continued. She ran from her twisted parents, from her drug using boyfriend, from Brock and John. She ran from it all keeping her space by doing so. She thought the farther the better. Then the idea hit her. She would leave this stupid town and all the memories in it.
Ten Months Later:
She pushed her long brunette hair out of her face as she wiped the tables down. She picked up the biggest tip she had received all night twenty bucks. At least this month she could help Sherry with the rent. They always split it fifty fifty but she hadn't been able to work in over a month. Doctor's orders after having a baby. She had delivered a healthy blue eyed baby boy. She was still waiting on the DNA results. She kept her fingers crossed that it was Kyle's because her boyfriend Matt, was willing to be a father and let them move in with him. She just had to know it was driving her crazy. She thought about the day she had left Brownson town. It was the best thing she had ever done, coming here to Binghamton New York. Leaving everything and everyone behind was hard. She had used her father's credit card until she ran the limit. She had taken a flight and had been here ever since. She hadn't seen anyone since. Many a times she had thought about calling her parents, but figured that they hated her.
Her boyfriend Matt had told her he was in love with her three months ago. He was about 6'1 and a carefree going guy. He even agreed to wait for her when she told him she wasn't ready for sex. Not by a long shot. Every time that he started to make out with her she would cringe when his hand came anywhere near Brock had touched. Her life was better here. "Tonya I'm closing up." Kaylee hollered to her boss in the back. Her boss had promised her the restaurant if she stayed and helped. One more month and it was hers.
She turned the sign in the door to closed and headed out to her car. She couldn't wait to see Scotti. Her little tyke was getting so big even at a month old he was bigger than most. He had the bigges green eyes and a whole head of wavy blond hair. She swung by her mailbox and grabbed the mail there were two letters among the bills. The first were from her parents. The second was from Kyle. "How in God's name did they find me?" She frowned.
Kaylee, don't ask how we found you. After all we are your parents and it is our right to know that you are alive. After we came home that night we had thought you had been kidnapped. But then we got a phone call from your friend Sherry. She thought we had a right to know you were alive and well. The only other person who knows where you live is Kyle. ALthough we have no understanding of why you went in hiding we are respecting that. enclosed you will find a new credit card with ten thousand dollar balance. Your balance will be paid monthly by us. We love you and hope you find it in your heart to forgive us if we have done something wrong. We love you Kaylee and we miss you.

By this time she was bawling.
Kaylee I hope you don't find me being presumptuous in contacting you. I still have no idea why you left. I tried to find you that night but no such luck. I have gone to college and am on break and was wondering if I could visit you. I still love you and I hope you haven't forgotten our wonderful memories.
Kyle
Wonderful I'm gonna kill Sherry she thought as she threw Kyle's letter out the window. She pulled in the drive.
"Sherry! How dare you!" Kaylee yelled through the house.
"Kaylee I'm so sorry, they had a right."
"ANd I have my reasons for not having them in my life. You probably just gave everything away." Kaylee screamed in her face.
"What is everything Kaylee. I'm sick of this oh so big secret what's so bad huh?" Sherry yelled back.
Kaylee then flipped out." You want to know oh so bad well here it is but after tonight I'm gone. I thought you were my friend. I was raped Ok I was brutally raped by a guy my ex boyfriend owed money to. Instead of waiting for him to pay he dragged me in the bathroom on Graduation night and Raped me. Do you get that through you're stupid big head. He raped me and drugged me and he hit me and--" Kaylee broke down and grabbed her suitcase throwing her clothes and possessions in it. The baby was at Matt's. "Goodbye you traitor." With that she slammed the door in Sherry's wide open face.
