 * * * *- November 16, 2007-               There were only a few media vans there, I had seen worse. I was early but I entered the courtroom anyways. The prosecutors were collaborating their last thoughts, and the defense table had a suitcase on top of it, but no one was there. When I looked around at the windows I noticed the stained glass. That’s always been there? The colors reflected on the front of the room; the greens and blues of the sky shined down on by the prosecuting table and the reds and yellows gave light to the witness stand. During the duration of fifteen minutes the court slowly fill in. Tabby and Darrell were right behind the prosecution’s table. She looked pale, as Darrell merely seemed concerned.  Finally, after I had day dreamed about every thing I could, court was in session. -November 16, 2007- Lacey-             Kids chairs were not comfortable to sit in after hitting four feet. Alison found a ribbon dancer in one of the eight toy boxes that sat to the side of the large playroom in the courthouse. She hopped and ran around, mutely, in circles to see the ribbon mimic her. There was a smaller boy about two years old in the room playing with a set of blocks with his mother. Tabby stood there watching her as she hung on to her cross necklace. Her eyes were freshly cut limes dripping sour juice uncontrollably. “Its almost time” I said glancing at the clock on the wall.“Oh heavens I know” she replied flustered. Darrell standing behind her took hold of her shoulders to embrace. Aww its good to see older couples still consoling each other.“And don’t worry at all, Alison and I will be fine, We’ll be looking forward to having recess with you” She wiped her eyes, “Alison, come here” she directed, “Give me a hug”.Alison stopped waving the ribbon around and looked over to us aggravated. “Its just a hug, you’ll have the rest of the day to play” I coaxed her.She bent her head down and walked solemnly over to her aunt and gave her a hug. I turned to them, “Everything will turn out just fine”.“God will have the final judgment, they will have their punishment” Tabby preached. Darrell followed her out of the playroom and I grabbed a coloring book.
