Never Can Say Good Bye

Tears slid down my cheeks as I watched people go to the front of the church and pay their last respects to my lifeless father. I grabbed my mother’s hand and squeezed it as she sobbed out of control. I let go of her hand and ran to the front of the church. All eyes were on me. I caressed my father’s cold face as tears hit his neat suit. His eyes were closed and the only thing I wished for was for them to open.

“Daddy,” I said through long sobs, “I never can say good bye. This is ‘see you later’. I’ll see you on the other side. Okay?” I said. I grabbed his hand wishing there was a reaction.

9 years old I witnessed my daddy being buried due to some dumb gangstas who wanted some dope from him. At that point I wanted nothing more but for my dad to come back and hold me in his broad arms and tell me he’ll take care of me. But now, at 19 years of age, I knew that was going to happen, so the only way to feel better was revenge.

And I’m grinding until I die

I hugged my mother as I looked at my new home, well an apartment but for me to be living by myself this was all I needed. “I can’t believe I’m living on my own!” I exclaimed as if it was an impossible task.

“I know it seemed like yesterday you were depending on me to change your clothes. Now you have your own apartment. I’m proud of you.” She beamed hugging me again and squeezing me tightly. Releasing myself from our embrace I went and sat on the new couch and rubbed my hand against the interior. I wonder if my dad is smiling at me because of my accomplishments? I thought to myself.

“Briana, let me talk to you,” my mother said breaking my train of thoughts. She plopped down on the couch and looked at me sincerely, “Chile, I know what you’re doing to get the money to afford all of this. There’s apart of me that don’t mind because you have your father’s wits and mentality, but then again, he died because of his hustle.”

I looked around avoiding eye contact with her. “Ma, I’m cautious and can handle myself,” I said.

She sighed giving me a sign that she wasn’t going to argue. “You’re an adult and I respect your decisions. Just be careful.” She hugged me again for a moment. I inhaled her perfume and exhaled easily. She let go of me and grabbed my shoulders and kissed my forehead. She nodded and made her way out of my apartment silently closing my door.

I took in another breath and grabbed my cell phone and went through my list of contacts and stopped on the name Juelz.

“Hello?” He answered on the second ring.

“10 ‘o’ clock game on,” I said before hanging up.

“Come on Cam.” I said grabbing his hand and leading him into his own house. He closed his door and locked it. “Where’s your room?” I asked.

“I’ll show you.” He said guiding me to a room that had a bed with black satin sheets and black dressers. He had a 51 inch flat screen hooked to the wall. I nodded at his neatly organized room. Nigga got taste. I thought.

“Come here Bri,” He said grabbing my waist forcing me to straddle him. I shoved my tongue into his mouth and we kissed with lust and force both of us becoming aroused. His dick began to poke my thigh and I knew his dick was big as shit! Then there was a thud in another room. Cam stopped our session of kissing and touching and yelled, “What the fuck was that?!”

“I didn’t hear anything.” I lied.

Cam shoved me off of him and went into his drawer for his gun. Someone with a black mask on their face came from under the bed. I smirked as the guy ran up on Cam and hit him with the butt of his pistol a few times. “What the fuck!” Cam yelled falling to his knees.

“Shut the fuck up!” Juelz said taking off his mask.

“Man I know that voice. Juelz you bogus as hell for this! Where’s Briana? ” Cam said.

I walked over to him and lifted his chin to make him face me. “Right here babe,” I kissed his nose and laughed evilly.

“You grimy bitch!” Cam raged.

“Yeah, yeah I know. What can I say?” I said proudly.

“Where the shit at Cam?” Juelz asked ramming the gun into his head.

“I ain’t telling you shit!” Cam yelled.

“Briana, tear this shit up until you find it.” I did as I was told and found shoe boxes of coke and money in a small attic. “Jack-motherfucking-pot!” I exclaimed. I grabbed majority of the boxes and threw them on his bed.

“You a trifling bitch!” Cam yelled.

“Don’t forget bad!” I yelled. “Ay yo hand me my heat Juelz!”

Juelz went into his pants and pulled out my very own pistol. I grabbed it from him and looked down at Cam.

“Fuck I don’t care if y’all kill me! Y’all will get handled! Believe that!” Cam yelled.

“Is that right?” I asked sassily. I pointed my gun at his forehead. “Call me a bitch one more time.” I said warning him.

“You’re a BITCH!!”

I pulled the trigger twice as he fell back. I chuckled, “I know.”
