Author's note:I'm about to change her name into Shanaya because it's so much easier to pronounce =] Enjoy!

Shanaya walked into the house hands in her pocket.Her mom,Kina,was on the couch comforting Shanaya's six month old daughter,Cassie.
"Where have you been?"Kina practically shouted.But surprisingly the baby didn't wake up.
"At school."Shanaya looked at her mom with innocence but she knew her mom was to smart for that and Shanaya used way too many times.
"You a lie!The school called and you haven't been there for one period!"
"Ma,you gon' wake up Cassie!"
"Oh now you care about the girl!You never cared before.You always just walk out the house like you have no responsibility."
"I do my part!"
"Little girl,you have to take care of this baby night and day.Only break you get is at school and you don't even go there!"
"Ma,I try.Too much drama."
"So.You can walk past it."
Shanaya shook her head.
"You don't understand and you never will!"
She wanted to run to her room,but what room did she have?Her older sister slept in one room and her mom slept in the other.Her and the baby slept out in the living room which was big enough for the crib and the couch.The baby soft cried took her by surprise.
Shanya once again shook her head"See?Now she's awake."
Kina stood up."I am completely tired of you running out of my house leaving this child of yours in anyone's hands!"
It was quiet except for Cassie's soft crying.Shanaya picked her up and had it been a while since she did.She knew her mom was right.
Kina shook her head."You like playing games Shanaya?"
Shanaya looked at her mother not knowing where she was going with this.
"I got a game for you.You got exactly 15 minutes to grab every thing of the baby's two outfits for you and to get out of here."
Shanaya stood there in disbelief.She couldn't put her out in the street with a baby and only two outfits and no money.She couldn't possibly be serious.
"Girl time is tickin.'"
Shanaya seen she was and she gently put the baby in her crib.
She whispered to her,"I'll be back okay?"
She hurriedly went in the kitchen and grabbed a garbage bag.She ran to her sister's room where her clothes were in a drawer.She grabbed two outfits.She thought of something and went all through her drawer.
Her mom walked in the door with her arms folded."Lookin' for this?"
She held a bag.It was empty.It was full of weed.Shanaya wanted to go insane but didn't want to seem like a complete druggie.
"I flushed that crap down the toilet.But time is tickin' away.You got 12 minutes." With that she walked out the door.Shanaya felt like she just got slapped.She opened the second drawer and got all the baby drawer.She grabbed the diaper bag hanging on the doorknob and found whatever diaper she could and stuffed it in there.
Next was the food.She grabbed all the bottles,baby formulas,and jars of baby food and threw them in the bag.She also snuck some strawberries and lunch meat.She stuffed those at the bottom of the bag.She tied the bag up and threw it over her shoulder.
She looked for the baby's car seat.She found it next to the couch.She picked it up and sat it next to the crib.She picked Cassie up and gently put her in there.Shanaya grabbed some toys out of the crib and sat them next to Cassie.Cassie picked up a chew toy and started chewing it trying so hard to bite through it.She looked so happy though.If only she knew what was going on.
Shanaya put a blanket over her and grabbed the handle.She looked back at her mom who was staring at her.
"Y'all have a good life,"she said.
Shanaya shook her head and closed the door behind her.
