I couldnt wait to get to the basketball court to see my old friends.I walked slowly down the street with my Ipod in my ear bumpin up Jay-Z's"Hello Brooklyn."

My name is Brooklyn cause Im from Brooklyn.I moved to Atl like a year ago as a 17 year old.My parents came into money.I still live there but right now Im visting Brooklyn.Im renting out a penthouse on the other side of town.But now Im in the streets if ya know what I mean.My old block.

I walked in the snow covered basketball court.A bunch of people like always was rapping to Jay-Z's beats.I smiled lookin for one of my bestfriends.Curtis.He's been da closest friend I got.We rapped together and all.We were real tight.We never dated cause we thought it would ruin our friendship.

I finally took off my earphones and spoke up.

Brooklyn:Wussup yall!

They all looked as if they didnt remember who I was.

Brooklyn:Brooklyn.Remember?

All they mouths dropped.I spotted Curtis.He was the first to come up and hug me.

Curtis:Hey babygirl!

I giggled.

Brooklyn:Hey!

Just then a girl put her hand in between us breakin us up.

Girl:Who is dis Curtis?

I looked confused.

Curtis:Dis my bestfriend Brooklyn.

She stuck out her hand.

Girl:Sup Im Andrea,Curtis's girlfriend.

She smirked.She was pretty but looked evil.

Brooklyn:Wussup.

I looked over and seen my other friend Alexis.

Brooklyn:Oh shit son!Is dat Alexis?!?

Alexis looked at me.

Alexis:You know it is girl!

We hugged.

Alexis:What has it been?A year?

Brooklyn:Oh yes!A long ass year!

We laughed.I said wussup to everybody I knew.Then me,Alexis,Curtis,and Andrea went and sat on a bench while everybody continued to rap.I sat next to Curtis and Andrea sat on the other side of Curtis and linked their arms together while Alexis sat on the other side of me.

Curtis:Man we need to catch up!

Brooklyn:Yeah!

Andrea:So uhh,Brooklyn where you from?

Brooklyn:Im comin from Atl but I was boring here.

Andrea:Dats crazy!Im from Atlanta!

Brooklyn:Wow!Dats dope!

Andrea:Yeah!

I looked at Curtis but from da corner of my eye I seen her roll her eyes.

Brooklyn:Well how's da hood been?

Curtis:Shit da same ol' thang.

Brooklyn:You still been spittin?

Curtis:Of course.Dat reminds me David Turner got a studio hooked at his house.You know he got it in da room his sister used to be in.It's not a big ass studio but it's somethin like dat.

Brooklyn:For real?Dats tight!We gotta stop there and spit somethin.

Curtis:Right!

We laughed.We chatted til people started leavin.

Brooklyn:Wanna go to David's now?

Curtis:Yeah.

Andrea:Um Im goin home.It's too cold to be goin everywhere.

She looked at me then back at Curtis.

Andrea:Behave yourself.

She went across the court and dissapeared.I looked at Curtis.

Brooklyn:Wussup wit her?

Curtis:Nothin prolly a lil worried or whatever.

Brooklyn:Well let's go.
